Great, except multi-player mode

Bsmith34

Great game, love the 2 additional variations of play with the app versus the physical game. There are still a few things I would love to see. 1. We need a way to play with the whole family. The physical game allows as many people as you want. But you can only have a two player game and you have to share the same device, which is SUPER difficult to do on a plane, at lunch, as a family. Basically you would have to sit across from each other at a table. We bought the app version for our vacation to play on the plane and on our cruise. Lots of games have this option so it shouldn’t be too tough to play with others nearby. You don’t have to show their scorecard, you can just show their points. 2. When a color is not available because someone has locked it, please either cross off that row or dull the color significantly to indicate that option is not available. 3. Have the second and third game options, scramble and color mixing, generate random order so it is different for each game. 4. I would also really like the ability to undo a move. The numbers are so small and so close together that it is too easy to hit the wrong number by mistake it would also be nice when you see an option after you already selected one and want to change it. This would require you to hit a turn end button, or still have it go automatically, just wait 2 seconds to do so. As mentioned, love the game but definitely needs improvement in order to make it worth getting for the family. Right now it is more of a single person game than a family game.

Needs multiplayer online

Poseidon214

I really like this game. Just played the actual game with my nephew and we liked it. Would be cool if there was an online multiplayer mode so I can play him when we not together.

Good game, needs a few improvements.

Good game. I like playing against computer players. - NEEDS and undo button. Several times I have accidentally hit the wrong spot, and too bad. No way to fix that. So definitely need an undo button. - for some reason, the orientation of the game is in portrait mode, and upside down on my iPad. It is the right way on the iPhone, but upside down on the iPad. - also, a major improvement (could be an option to turn on or off) would be to highlight the potential moves available. Overall, it is a good game, just need some minor improvements, especially for a relatively expensive game.

Still useless

Updates did fix some stability issues, but game play is still incorrect. You can’t select which dice roll (color or open) goes where, and most of the time you can only select one before it goes to the next turn. While it looks ok, it simply does not work. Skip this until they can provide something usable.

Don’t waste your money for the current version

Smurftastically addicted

I really enjoy playing Qwixx with actual dice, so I was very excited when the game became available on my phone. Unfortunately, there is no platform to play against another player online, which defeated half my purpose of buying it. Another complaint I have is that when you’re playing, you cannot take both the white dice total AND a color total- as it auto rolls the dice for you if you take the color dice first (so if they happen to be the lower total, you cannot also take the white total). I’m kind of let down, to be honest, and wish I hadn’t wasted my money.

Enjoyable but one improvement

Ghorner127

Have loved playing this with my wife but one major thing that has bugged us is not being able to choose to use the white dice or the color dice in any order. Often we’d like to use them both but aren’t able to as the turn ends.

Broken

This game is fun (in board game format) as an app it really doesn’t work , it doesn’t score properly nor does it allow certain numbers to be marked off , until they update this app and fix this it’s not worth the money Really regretting the $4 purchase

Total scam

It’s not even close to real Quixx. You get to play solo... woo! I want my money back.

Poor play experience

Lee Valentine

This app has a bad solo mode. The physical game requires you to watch others so that they don't lock out a die unexpectedly. Here you are effectively engaged in no interaction with anyone; not a human and not an AI. You just throw dice, do what you want for as long as you want, but it feels like it all does not matter. The app can work as a scoresheet for one player playing the physical game, but even that is underwhelming because there is no undo to reverse a stray tap. The physical game is interesting if somewhat samey over time. This implementation is pretty, but lacks nearly all the features I'd want this game to have. I almost never write negative reviews, but this app seemed like it was put together by competent programmers and graphic designers who hate games or do not know what features people really want In a gaming app. That's a rarity.

Decent dice game

I have only tried solo mode and it's a quick game with lots of dice combos to choose from. Could use an "undo" button and a way to return to a game in progress.
