Neutral Reviews: How Do We Know Unless We Try...

Mie11334

In my short time using, I have only become more acquainted, educated, and still count myself as just a curious novice user. My overall opinion is neutral on the grounds of seeing both: very/bad content; user control functions that are handy as well as other that are just frustrating/odd; and users/peers who have shown a great deal of intellectual acumen & some who seem to be spitefully, almost bitter and might be characterized as dangerous if anything were taken as something other than protected free speech. As the heading says, “[...] How do you know unless you try it [?].” What might be considered as terrible to one, may be great to others. Without trying it and reporting just as many have, there is really no other way to get a feel besides in-essence “going down the rabbit hole” so-to-speak. I think responses should be taken with a grain of salt because of their subjective nature, but are nonetheless intrinsically necessary to help get as much user based educated information as possible as an adjunct in deciding what is good for each individual. Lastly, I would say that my biggest regret is that in trying to be open-minded is that it is understandingly counter-intuitive for the App to allow Competitor sites to be named. This means that for some who may be naive to “better platform options for writers” as one Poster stated, they will almost always be unable to get an idea of what these platforms are because of not having anything else to properly base real opinion option on. That leaves people open to either sticking with what they know because of the essentially infinite alternatives that would waste every second of the rest of their life looking into comparative alternatives. People will almost always either stick with what is familiar, even if it is not what they would qualify as being the best alternative for theirselves or stop altogether. It is easy to become frustrated in an attempt to find what would be deemed as a “better fit” for them individually because of the sheer dedication it takes to really look objectively. Therefore, without trying to be as objective as possible with stated qualified ignorance to alternatives—I can only state this: This is a very viable option in the realm of known options that are supposedly based in open neutrality for all to tentatively be able to interact, write, and constructively communicate. Any competitors are possibly overshadowed by not having the ability to produce similar commercial media advertising footprints, and thus Users will usually go with what they are most heavily exposed to in most cases.

Horrible

App crashes or times out constantly. After refreshing constantly, when you do finally get it it takes forever to load.

Love Quora

Shehaugh

Definitely a one of a kind app. I could be on their for hours reading about things I'm interested in, things I don't know much about, being exposed to other people's beliefs, opinions, and thoughts. It's really intersting. The questions are really thoughtful and some really make me think. Awesome app.

Will remove your content without telling you why

Symphony Lover

Quora's judgement on content is incarnation of dictatorship.

I HATE this new update

light_travels

This new update spams my feed with stupid questions like "How do I get booty?" And really inane content now. I want the old Quora back when I actually got intellectual and interesting questions in my feed. PLEASE CHANGE THIS. I hate Quora now and I have to keep hiding and downvoting these low-quality questions...

Holy crap, the upvote button is horrible. It hurts my eyes. Not sure why it was necessary to change this.

Question Details

Grace a fur

Why did you remove questions details? It hasn't helped one bit, and it's completely unnecessary. Everyone in the community dislikes it. And moderation is extremely biased and unfair. I've been harassed by multiple users and my report STILL HAS NOT BEEN REVIEWED! It's been TWO years since then. Up your game, Quora.

One word, bias.

Thisonecan'tbetaken

Great app, great idea, poor execution, and even poorer community. The bias is unbelievably one-sided in the community, having a different opinion vilifies you, and it even seems that the moderators are bias. If you use this app, no matter what your preferences are, avoid any political questions.
