I downloaded this app about a week ago at first I have some issues with it I was able to get a hold of a tech he help me change some of the settings and now the app is working great I recommend it.

This app is just what the Doctor ordered. Easy to install Easy to setup Easy to use Has everything needed Works great Just curious why it sometimes notifies one or the other of us, and sometimes not. Very random. No big deal, and don’t really care because it always controls whether it notifies or not. If you can explain, fine. If not, that’s Ok. Great replacement for skylark

The app works far more reliability than skylark. It gives feedback as to which of the household is home which is nice. Only slight disappointment is that I can’t set the custom exit boundary to 5 miles.


One major issue for some

I’m sure it would work fine for most but since I use my phone for work I cannot enable iCloud on this device and it does not work without it for geofencing. I miss the skylark app that worked great but has been shut down.

Love this app! Works flawlessly with my iPhone and Nest thermostat and cameras. It’s nice not having to turn everything on and off manually. Just set up geofencing and you’re good to go. I had a technical question that I submitted to customer support and it was answered within an hour or so. Fantastic customer support! Highly recommended.

I was using Skylark for years before the developer could no longer sustain the app and suggested his users switch over to this app instead. Since the developer of one of my most useful apps said this would be a good replacement I immediately went to the App Store and purchased QuickControl. Let me tell all the Skylark users now—THIS APP IS NOT AS GOOD OR AS RELIABLE AS SKYLARK! Firstly, the interface looks dated and unorganized. It’s also not as customizable since you can’t set custom geofencing areas. My biggest gripe is that the app sets my thermostat to Away when I first leave the preset area but within minutes the thermostat is set back to Home. This app is a waste if it can’t set my thermostat to Away. It’s the only thing the app is designed to do and it can’t do it properly. I advise any Skylark users to look elsewhere.


Just doesn’t work

I set up with my new nest. And my nest app works where this one just doesn’t. It goes to eco when I leave but all other members are home. I have set them up just as I was supposed to. The main nest app works with all family members. Really wish I hadn’t paid 4 bucks for an app just for the widget. The nest app is free and works much much better. Live and learn.


Disappointing for $3.99

Can’t believe this app costs $3.99. The only thing this app gives you, that the Nest app doesn’t, is a widget and a 3D Touch option. Other than that there is no benefit to the app. The interface doesn’t even look that good. Wish the App Store let you try apps out before shelling out money for them.

PERFECT, USEFUL, EASY, and SIMPLE How excited I was to see this app -- downloaded it right away- and nothing. I emailed the support staff and to my surprise; received a response. I explained my dilemma and immediately the support starting working on a solution. They asked me a few questions then told me to delete the app (can you image support telling you to delete the app) and reinstall. They followed up with me to see if the app was working and behold, here I am writing a great review about a wonderful experience I had with the support team, who seemed really concerned about my situation, despite all the reviews. Developers and support take notice; it's one thing to ask us for reviews, it's another to ignore us, when we ask for your help.
