Pulse was created with these three goals in mind to help patients and providers improve post-operative recovery. This platform facilitates educating the patient and improving communication between the patient and provider team. As the patient’s primary resource during recovery, Pulse eliminates the unknown and engages the patient to have a healthy and complete recovery.

In addition, integrating with Apple Health Kit will monitor your steps, heart rate and overall daily activity to provide your doctor with the most accurate information possible.

This platform has been designed by surgeons, surgical teams, and patients to optimize outcomes, so care can remain focused on the most important person – the patient.

Glitch with Check in questions
jtcalvin

The App in helpful in keeping me on track with recovery information and physical therapy exercises. However, for most of the past week the Check in questions have been mismatched to the answers. Example: “How much are you walking?” with “Yes” or “No” answer options and frustratingly selecting either response results in a “please select your answer” and no option to move to the next question.

Can’t see the text when writing status update
Ed Miller IV

I really like the idea of pulse, staying in touch with your doctor post surgery. Sign up was easy. And I really liked the video updates from my doctor. In the status update, there is a major glitch. You can’t see your text when up are typing. This leads to misspelled words or incorrect phases. It also clipped part of my messages. Plus I don’t see any place to edit after posting! These corrections should be made to make this app more functional. Ed

Great app so far
Gaylavan

Very easy to navigate. I had two questions about my care. I posted them in the app in the evening and had answers to them before 9 am. I like that I will have those answers stored in the app in case I need to refer to it. The videos of exercises is a great resource. I have watched a few today to review my form. The brief notes section is 100 characters each entry. I think it is good to limit it so the most important points are stored, but 200 characters would be better. It was great to have app demoed at the bedside because that increased my likelihood of using it.

A beta release and even worse update
Museisluse

Worked okay until 4/26 update. This more like a beta app than a fully formed app. Needs to have another update, can't even log in to account now.

Last update a mess
Daytonater

All was great till the last update. All my stuff is gone and it crashes. UPDATE - Back to 5 stars!! Logging out and back in resolved the problem.

About printouts
I.P.

The app is very helpful explaining exactly how to do each exercise and an excellent way also to communicate with one's physician. It would be helpful to us 'older folks' to be able to print out the exercises so one can continue to do them after access to the app is finished.

Fantastic App

This App is user friendly. It walks you through exercises, and has a personal feel.

Love it

I think every doctor and patient should use this. Saves time and effort for both the patient and doctor.

Unusable
Veplav

I live the reviews and the feature list. Excited to use. However when I open the app it asked for email address. When I provided that it kept saying “Email address unrecognised. Please try again”. Unfortunately there no option to skip this step aswell. Please fix this. I would love to try this app.

Extremely Helpful
Smoker20

I used the Pulse App everyday following my hip replacement surgery. It helped keep me on track and certainly helped with my motivation. Highly recommended.
