Great app. PROVEIT is fun, addictive, and the best cash trivia game out there

Developers please respond!!! I started playing the games and I enjoyed basically getting $1 for free, to get you started on paid games. I eventually earned and lost a few dollars, getting to $0.34 so I could no longer play (which I get, I lost fair and square). I decided to try my luck and after finding a really good promo code spent $30 (i got $18 bonus) which is a lot! I proceeded to lose 5 games in a row, all quite badly and realized I knew to get my money out while I can. I went to withdraw the rest and was told to verify my ID (address, social security, the works). I was very hesitant but app store reviews made it seem okay. i put in the info and and then it said it couldnt verify me and needed pictures of my driver’s license. that’s the point where i decided it was too much info and backed out. I have over $20 sitting in the app that I would very much like back.

Fun Trivia, but forget about the money

PROVEIT is pretty fun as a head to head trivia game. There are tons of categories that rotate on a daily basis, and it’s pretty easy to get some “money” out of it given they start you off with a couple of bucks. The reason I use “money” in quotes is that the cash out system is difficult and requires an absurd amount of information, including your SSN. Since I am loath to give out all my personal information, I can’t actually cash out the $50 I have so far. They do offer an alternative verification by answering questions about past addresses (like with a credit report or financial inquiry) but it would not accept my answers! They actually want a picture of my driver’s license! In short, okay trivia, but to cash out you basically have to agree to identity theft. :(

When I first started playing I did well but as time went on I lost more and more, always by a very close margin. I've read other reviews like this so it kinda makes you wonder. It's definitely fun but unless you answer every question correctly and within 1 second, it's pretty difficult to win. Lost one quiz despite the fact that I answered every question correctly and only had 2 questions which took me longer than 1 second to answer, and both of them were answered within 2 seconds.

I have now, across a week, been “randomly” matched to the same person in 5 categories in more than a dozen games. Almost every time I have “barely” lost. Based on what is described, in my opinion it is likely, statistically speaking, pretty much impossible for this to occur unless there is some serious coding issues or something fishy going on.

This game is designed to make you lose money. You are not playing against real people. The game gives you a win in a free game every once in a while to maintain the illusion of winning, but in the paid games you will lose 9 times out of 10 no matter how well you do. Also, you will barely lose every game you play no matter how poorly or how well you do. A perfect score is 2000 in a game and if you score 1900, your “opponent” will score 1920 and win. If you score 700 your opponent will score 750 and win. You are playing a bot that is designed to win.
