Specially designed for use on iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad, this selector gives you an overview of the features and specifications for Axis' entire range of network cameras and video encoders.
The feature filter lets you easily find the cameras or encoders that suit your need. You can also quickly compare the feature sets of up to three products in portrait or landscape mode.
The application updates itself over the Internet, adding new products as they are launched and removing discontinued ones.
The application also lets you view the complete product pages from www.axis.com and helps you to easily get in touch with an Axis representative for more product information.
I’ve been using the Axis product selector for quite a long time, and it’s worked perfectly. Recently it doesn’t return any products at all. Before when it was opened it showed Axis’ complete product line, and dropped products as various filters were added. Now it reports “no matching selections” as soon as it’s opened. Adding filters does nothing to display selections.
I am always on the go and having a full product list in my pocket is a major plus. Very well done with search, compare, filtering, and auto linking direct to the product web page.
I think it is a great idea but I found that the 213PTZ model disappears. I reloaded the app and found it again in the list but as soon as you compare and come back to the list it is not seen anymore.
How about adding a bandwidth calculater? For storage and capasity on a network
All this does is filter a list of Axis cameras based on various features. It's just a front-end filter to the Web site's product list. They should get rid of this app and just make it easier to filter products directly on their Web site.
I use this now every time that I need to select the right camera for the customer site.
Good for comparing and selecting cameras. Would be better if the part #'s where there as well as a link to the data sheet so save time from going to the website.
Some cameras disappear from selection once product data has been viewed, even if reset database option is chosen in settings. Makes the app fairly worthless (iPad Air).
I like the new design. It is a little slow but that's to be expected from a new release. I'm happy the information is still available offline. Besides from the speed, this is a great version of a newly designed app. Keep up the great work!
