Hey guys, as for now it’s ugly with huge empty blocks and over structured in a 20% of the display. It makes it not just unattractive but very UX-unfriendly, especially upper block with photos and video. iPhone layout at the same time looks good enough. I mean not a design genius but it works at least.
Many bugs

Hey guys It has been kinda hard to use the app lately. It has lots of bugs 1) Almost every day I need to log in again using Twitter or Facebook. Whenever I open the app, my login information is not there and I’m asked to authenticate.. Then my user is loaded. 2) The app fails to load sometimes - it’s rare but has happened more than once. The app displays an error message saying something about not being able to save to the store. 3) Button “Save for later” freezes the app

Product hunt is excellently curated, but the app is glitchy on it’s best days and completely non-functional on its worst. You can try and upvote something and wait for minutes on end for the app to acknowledge the interaction. This morning the app is just showing me a white screen. Yesterday it crashed on me twice. I have an iPhone X with plenty of space not a iPhone 5 that can’t handle IG. It’s mad to me to that an app recognizing the tech industry can’t find engineers that can build a lightweight speedy app or designers that understand that you have to use a legible text size. It’s bad guys. It’s bad. (Content is still great tho.) — Update: App still crashed regularly, give me error messages, and logs me out daily. Still an atrociously dysfunctional app that I grit my teeth through because the sites highlighted are helpful. — Update Round 2: App wont let me scroll into past days. When it gets to the bottom of the page and tries to load it jumps me back up to yesterday. When I click on my profile picture to try and update this review the app crashes. Still also logs me out regularly. Stunningly poorly built app.
Sev 1 defects in app

I love PH, but the app has glaring defects for me. On iPhone 5 SE the login buttons for Twitter and Facebook do not work. Clicking contact customer support leads to a "not_available" message. Please fix your sev 1 defects and I'll update my review to a 5 star :)
Buggy and Slow

This app has some issues that cause it to become unresponsive nearly every time I use it. It’s a far worse experience than using the web version. Please fix it.

Buggy as all hell on the iPhone X. It’s a shame because the app is on my second home screen and I open it at least once a day, but often times tapping into a product causes it to freeze and I have to then force close+reload. Easier at that point just to go to the web page.
I love PH... but the app is too buggy...

I can’t seem to be able to load the hunts, it stays on a black screen. iPhone X, and I’ve even deleted/reinstalled the app.. Awesome service, but the IOS app is not at the level of the rest of the service it seems

The new design is nice and all but the tradeoff here is a significant one - performance. The app freezes regularly and the card view often takes double digit seconds to load, if it loads at all. View refresh requires a force kill more than occasionally. The list goes on but, at the end of the day, the application is broken. Good news: their mobile-web application is far superior in every way. Do yourself a favor and skip this one.
Incredibly buggy and lost all my hunts

The most recent update managed to remove all my hunts I had saved and made Facebook the only way to log in. UX is a little buggy as well. Clicking on some “get it” links crash the app. The app before the update was amazing, Not sure what happened here.
