Good content, but terrible iOS app

BRuLeZ

The developers must have thought it a good idea to implement their own scroll view.. then failed miserably at it. This product scroll view is basically the core feature of the app. Yet it has every bug imaginable. It loses your spot about 50% of the time you visit a product. It somehow manages to make the butter smooth scrolling on iphone into a choppy mess. It drains battery at an impressive rate, and manages to get into states where if you attempt to scroll at the wrong time, a single result will be duplicates infinitely. Amazing that the devs managed to ship so many bugs in a single component. Perhaps they should product hunt some QA tools.

Glitchy

Banditiiii

Hey Product Hunt, I look at your website every day. When I found out that you had an app, I downloaded it right away. Started exploring the app but then I noticed how clunky your interface is. I was a little disappointed because you guys work with some of the most innovative companies in the tech world. I was expecting a seamless experience but it didn’t play out that way.

Screen bumping up on scroll

newillusions

When scrolling down through days (today>yesterday etc), the screen will bump up when you scroll down, causing you to lose your place and need to scroll back down. The further down you scroll into past days, the more it happens. Just a quick bug report as otherwise Product Hunt is great.

Disappointment for sure

Year 2019 and a simple app like this one is still buggy and lacks core functionality. PH should just create an app contest expose their api and let someone capable do the app for them. Love PH but hate this app.

Poor iOS app

layercake69

App with its poor design choices is extremely annoying to use. There is no swipe to back, among other things. Really?

Must have Twitter or Facebook

Inevitable79

If you don’t have a Twitter or Facebook account then you cannot use this app. And I have neither so I am going to delete it. It looked like it would be nice app, but I don’t want a Facebook or Twitter account...So it’s useless for me. Life is hard enough without the drama that those 2 apps bring.

App just crashes on XS on hitting account logo

Kranthi7325

Its just crashes on hitting account logo from feed.

Love the concept

Kguy18

The app is great in theory, unfortunately it doesn’t persist your location in the scroll view so when you hit a product and then go back to it you have to scroll back down to where you were previously. Would love to not have to do that. Also, a fair amount of network errors pop up - on wifi and LTE. Other than that it does what it’s supposed to do.

Still crashes daily

Khglynn

Update: a year later and this is still the most frustratingly unstable apps I use. — I use this app every day and it crashes every day. Whenever they release a new version I leave a new review pointing out the same problem. I love product hunt’s content, but the app (from the inaccessible front end, to the glitchy and unreliable backend) is shockingly poorly done.

Love PH BUT, recent version is a problem

Ycellardoor

Since the latest update, I get constantly logged out and have to keep reconnecting my twitter account. Most times the app stalls out while trying to connect to the twitter login screen. 5 Star app, but this bug is really making it hard to upvote and submit things easily.
