The Best!

CrazyEyeKillaz

I love taking photos with my iPhone and have downloaded so many photo apps over the years. ProCamera is the best so far. I use it to take all my photos. I love their editing tools, which gets updated with very cool updates. There is a little learning curve to edit, but it's easy.

Great update.. The best app!

DrMaark

Again.. The best, great update thanks‼️ My everyday photo app. Old review. Fixed. With the new update I can not access all my folders in pictures. Only camera roll. I have a lot of folders under photos and they are not available to use. Big problem. Lost the use of editing my pics because of that. Old review My two favorite camera apps are this one "ProCamera 7 now 8" and "VividHDR". Now they are combined. XLNT

Tried tons of camera apps, still beat out others

Been trying lots of camera apps through the years and this app seems to be the best one available. Still happy with the recent updates and just really like the app.

The Only Photo App I Use

Retired & poor

Version 9.5 update: This update has a few new goodies that make ProCamera even better for the power user while still keeping the ability to take great snapshots with a single tap on the shutter button. While the default HDR settings is fine most of the time, it's nice to be able manually choose custom exposure bracketing for those challenging shots. The LowLight+ with the LUX+ option can create photos far better than you can see. Amazing! Version 9.4 update: The ProCamera "geeks" keep adding features while keeping the simplicity for basic high-quality shots. I recommend that new users start with basic functions, then learn the more complex features one-at-a-time. Example: There are six HDR modes. The "Auto" mode works great, but later, try one of the other HDR modes for challenging conditions. The included manual is very concise and must be read very carefully. I edit photos both within ProCamera and in Lightroom. When you edit and save in ProCamera, the original photo remains, so you can always revert back to the orginial and re-edit from scratch. Example: You can convert a photo to black & white, then start fresh and make another version with different results. I have a handful of iPhone photo apps. ProCamera is now the only one that I use. It's at the top of my home page. Others are now stashed away in a folder; I may delete them. ProCamera has features that get more out of my iPhone camera than I thought possible. Examples: Ghost-free HDRs, Low-light, low-noise photos which are created by combining several captures. Once captured, ProCamera has tools to edit and create both high-quality (TIFF) files or compact jpegs for emailing & messaging. I normally use both big DSLRs and high-quality mirrorless cameras. But, with my iPhone 6s+ and ProCamera, I no longer feel camera-naked when I leave home with only my iPhone. Here's my basic iPhone photo workflow: 1. Take picture with ProCamera. I use the "Photo" mode for most pics. I use a low light or HDR modes for challenging situations. For low light photos that need a tripod, I use a "Joby GripTight Micro Stand, which I store on my keychain. For a touchless shutter, I use ProCamera's built-in timer, my earbud volume switch or Gadgin bluetooth remote. The vividHDR and Low Light In-App purchases are a good deal. (I seldom use the San Fran or Street editing filters.) I opt to automatically save the original photo as a high-quality TIFF file in ProCamera's "Lightbox" vs the "Camera Roll". 2. I then edit with ProCamera. I'm not a fan of most filters, so I use normally the manual functions to adjust exposure, sharpening, highlights/shadows, etc. I save often, which makes a copy each time. I can always go back to the original or earlier edited copy. 3. After editing, I sometimes have ProCamera create a small-to-large JPEG, which I email. I then save the original and/or final TIFF version to the "Camera Roll". Occasionally I’ll upload photos to a SmugMug gallery via the SmugMug app. I export selected photos to a mobile flash drive, which I move to my Mac and import into Lightroom for post-processing. Bottom line: I’m serious about getting the best photos that I can from my iPhone. ProCamera lets me do that!

Costly DSLR cameras: pay attention!

MacDelta

The aspect of simplicity in controlling ProCamera coupled with the lens and capabilities of the iPhone 6s Plus lens gives ProCamera the edge over full-size DSLR cameras for most camera shots. DSLR users, such as myself, spend thousands on the highest rated lenses and ancillary equipment, become recognized as experts and are constantly "in training," on industry standard software, simply to provide a customer the best shot possible, or to capture a naturally high dynamic range image for our personal viewing. Photography is an expensive undertaking, whether it be a hobby or for professional work. ProCamera faithfully captures an image which few can tell came from a DSLR or the iPhone platform. Its easy to set up individual shots quickly and accurately, and with all of the pro settings, you should always have room to experiment. (ProCamera Tip: Learn to shoot using manual controls, your images will thank you for it!) Nearly every setting that is on cameras costing thousands of dollars, is available on ProCamera. The difference being that the settings on ProCamera are incredibly simple to adjust. DSLR companies, are you listening? I admit to using ProCamera on professional shots in order to dial in the basic settings, then taking test pictures to see if I'm close to capturing the elusive perfect shot. Copying these settings to my DSLR, then fine tuning these and camera/lens specific settings takes a minute, but works incredibly well. Marrying the ease of setup of ProCamera to the setup of a DSLR camera/lens configuration has left me wondering: why hasn't ProCamera created a remote controller for professional DSLR cameras? It would effectively allow me to use one interface for all cameras, including my more than capable iPhone camera.

Awesome App

I would recommend this APP for everyone from the beginners to the pros. It basically runs itself and makes your pictures turn out looking like they were taken on an expensive Cannon.
