Latest version graphics are superb

I find the app very useful, and accurate, for sailboat racing in San Francisco Bay. The latest update features significantly enhance graphics that make the information even clearer and particularly good for showing changes through the day.

Very good

T4100

Quite accurate, at least as accurate as NOAA. Easy to use. I consult it daily in season.

My go-to passage planning app

Lord Jeffrey Amherst

Weather info is unmatched for its intuitive presentation of comprehensive data. I especially value seeing more than several forecasts at once. A real time-saver. The departure planning tool greatly increases my confidence when planning offshore passages in our trawler (6.5 knot cruising speed). Integration of PredictWind with the IridiumGO! device is seamless and the data feed is surprisingly fast and reliable. Best of all, because of the satellite connectivity, PredictWind functions as well while underway as it does in port. All in all, it is an outstanding product.

Fabulous App

Offshore around the Pacific , just fabulous !

Looks good so far

Globaby100

Just started using the app and there is a lot of info here. There are 4 models that predict wind. If you put the initials as indicated and add wind, you will get the explanations. With 4 models you can make your decision. As to some of the other information, they are asking for an "upgrade".

The best by far

Jk6262626262

The interface isn't glitzy but the underlying models are by far the best available. I have been using this app for many years for kitesurfing. Also tried everything else: windguru, windy, windytv, iwindsurf, etc etc. They all focus on pretty user interfaces but the forecast data they use is raw and often what's available for free, i.e. GFS. Predictwind not only use the more costly but superior ECMWF data but they have further improved it by accounting for land masses etc, i.e. The PWE model. Don't ask me the technical details, all I know is that their model is almost always spot on here in the Pacific, while the others are all over the place. Unfortunately the high resolution models require a very expensive subscription. I hope the prices will go down, as Predictwind would actually increase their revenue coz more peeps would sign up.

Great wind app.

boat bear

This app does everything that I need for boating in California and Florida.

Excellent

SanJuanBoater

Very useful for San Juan island cruising as the wind here is quite intense at times. With this app, I can find a sheltered anchorage with ease.
