Suggest MPH units for wind speed. Great App free version provides a lot of information. Not sure if I am missing something, but it’s odd that I cannot select mph for wind units.
This app is uncanny in its ability to predict wind and thereby waves. We recently had to run 1100 miles up the Pacific coast of Mexico in 5 days. This app allowed us to run a course with little wind improving our transit time. Highly recommend!
Predict Wind (paid version) provides an excellent level of analysis, but is only as accurate as the various models for local weather.
Checked app. Said seas would be 0-1 ft all day. Went out in calm seas. Came back in 2-4 ft seas. Not good in fishing barge.
Have used it for years. I sail out of wifi coverage all the time, Predict wind forecast used to stay on my IPad for days after initial download. Now after app upgrade the app searches for a wifi connection and deletes my existing forecast and tells me I need a wifi connection. Has become useless for me! TO BAD!
I have tried many apps for accurate wind predictions. predict wind most closely mirrors actual conditions.
I bought this app for $31 because it appeared to have wave height information for the Great Lakes. It doesn’t. Also, the wind gusts seem to usually be grossly overstated.
