Great little app

Madmud13

Easy to use and very helpful. No notebooks to loose. The developer was VERY responsive to my inquiries about a glitch & it got fixed!

Great pottery app

Pottery student

Love this App!!! This app allows me to take photos and make notes on all pertinent information about the pieces I've worked on. I have a list of the pottery gifts I have given people, as well as items I've sold for the last few years. Always great to look back at my glaze notes when I want to replicate a piece. Thank You for a great App.

Great Pottery Notebook!

This app replaces and improves upon the old school "pottery notebook". You can add as many photos as you want and track any information you want about each of your pieces - even creating custom fields. I just snap photos of each of my pieces before I put them away and when I have some downtime I add the photos to the app and enter any of my notes. You could even create items that you want to make and details about how you want to make them to keep your future work organized.

Great app... not cloud-based

This is a great app that combines photos and all kinds of notes with ease. However, it's too bad that the only way to get the notes off of my iPhone is to email them to myself. It would be nice to be able to take pics & add to my notes on my iPhone as I'm working, then look at them later on my iPad.

Excellent app

So disappointed

Really a great idea! Many of the students in my studio are now using the app to keep track of the work they do here and they love it. I do wish you could develop a version to work on an android phone for those who do not use iPhones. Otherwise it's fantastic!

Would be indispensable if 2 features added

Astabeth

I love this app. I use it almost daily. I keep up with all of my projects from start to finish. When I'm testing clays, I no longer have to write the type of clay on the piece. I work with multiple types of clay, and this has made my life much easier. Two features it needs - the ability to sort by clay type and the ability to sort by cone. I don't have much storage, so everything is mixed on my shelves, so sorting by cone would allow me to make sure I have everything that goes to a certain temp in the kiln. I hope the developer considers adding this feature.

Been using for two years and love it

gryphyx

This is a fantastic tool. I love it in the studio and to be able to make notes and use the camera and have the categories move PRO TIPS: You can customize the categories! You can sort the pictures. You can copy a record.

Pottery Notes - "What a great tool"

Oak Meadow

Documenting your work is so important. No longer need to try to draw pictures in a notebook & try to figure out which piece is which. This app is so easy to use & I can email the record to myself. Hard to imagine going back to my old record keeping system.

Like this app, have a few suggestions

CloseThePodDoor

I've been using this app for months and have about 30 items logged in it. It helps me quickly see a glaze combination that I've used before, with comments about brushed bs dip, number of coats, etc. I also like that I can quickly find all pieces where I've used, say, obsidian. Nice search ability. Suggestions- -offer a way to set which photo to use as the main picture for an item. -it's nice to be able to add additional glazes or object types - now add a way to delete those you don't use or typed incorrectly.

Valuable app to have!

I find this app very handy but I have a hard time sorting through my list for “in process” vs “completed” pieces. I wish I could a) order my list numerically and not have the top entry switch based on the last entry I opened and B) archive entries for completed pieces so that I can keep track of my completed pieces but in another list or on another tab so they’re not clogging up my current “in progress” list.
