I have been looking for something like this for several weeks; searching photo organizers, etc. but couldn't find something suitable. I finally searched "pottery" and lo and behold there it was, but even better than I envisioned since it was customized for pottery! I will tell everyone in my pottery class about this app.
This is a great app to keep track of all your clay projects! I have shown it to my friends at the pottery studio and they're all very excited about it! The only problem I have… Is trying to tag items.
I really like this app. I use it in the studio to record works in progress, noting the type of clay used and how I intend to finish it as I'm working on it. I can quickly and easily snap a pic of the finished product without dragging out my good camera and desktop studio. Good little tool.
This app is pretty great. My only gripe thus far is that you can only select one glaze under the glaze field. The ability to select multiple glazes would be VERY beneficial.
Great idea but needs polish. Especially the ability to add glazes and clay bodies, and select more than one glaze.
Besides being able to add more than one glaze. I work in three dimensions as do all clay artists. Often weight means so much less to me than length of depth. Where the hell is the third dimension measurement?? Telling me a platter is 8 inches wide by 4 inches high does nothing to tell me how long or 'deep' it is.
This software is an awesome way for a potter to keep a record of the pieces he makes. I just wish there was an iPod app that could sync up with the iPhone also. I would love to be ale to access my records from either the iPhone or ipad.
I love this app and use it regularly to keep records of my pottery projects. It is an indispensible tool for me, but I am concerned about having all of my records on my phone with no way to sync them to another device and/or my computer. Developers, please work on this feature! With that, I would enthusiastically give PotteryNotes 5 big stars,
This is a great app for anyone involved in pottery. It's very simple to customize the app to your needs. It would be great if it could be linked with Dropbox as a backup.
