Truly a Must-Have for Any Musician

Kolmo Harnes

As an owner of a DB-90, I once thought I could ditch metronome apps completely. I had every last one on the market, and I switched from that to the Doctor Beat immediately. When I saw this app on the App Store, I was skeptical at first. I decided to stick with the DB-90. But after diving into more complex music with tempo changes, meter changes, and complex rhythms, I knew I need more, so I came here, and I was not disappointed. This app DOES IT ALL, and that is not an exaggeration. If you want a simple click track to play along to or if you want to syncopate ninelets over fivelets or anything else you can imagine, it can do it. IT IS WORTH YOUR MONEY, TRUST ME. You can do anything from create a drum groove to practice to, create a click track with tempo changes and metric shifts, log your practice with an in-depth calendar/journal, self-generated graphs, custom goals, and comprehensive tutorials and guides, because trust me, there is a lot to work with. It comes with over a hundred sounds that include every drum imaginable, tones, hits, clicks, spoken numbers and letters, anything. Create your own song or a back track to a song, or a set list, or anything, seriously, ANYTHING. I am so excited to see what the amazing developers put out next, because they are constantly fixing and adding new features to the app. I honestly can’t say enough about how amazing this app is and how much it’s helped my musical growth. I am a rudimental percussion and a pianist, but this app has something for everyone. This app should be the example for how apps are made: no ads or purchases, helpful and active developers who love the app, and a great interface. Thank you so much developers, this app has changed my practice forever. I’m eternally grateful for all you do, keep up the great work! Tl;Dr: TRUST ME- IF YOURE A MUSICIAN OF ANY SORT, THIS APP WAS MADE FOR YOU. YOU NAME IT IT CAN DO IT.

Simply the best musician’s tool

drumamat

Short version: the smartest and most thorough tool I’ve ever seen, it does anything you want it to do and more. Buy it, no brainer. In depth: I’ve been playing around with it for almost a week, and I’m just amazed by everything you can do with this metronome! I’m a pro drummer and teacher, I bought a fair share of metronomes in the past. Here are a few genius features that makes PolyNome unique: - playlists, allowing you to program virtually any tune/odd song structure and practice it. Best thing is you can create a full tune frame really quickly. Programmed a click for a weirdly structured tune in 10minutes, and it works like a charm (tune is 7/4,7/4,11/8,3/4,3/4,3/4,5/4 etc...) - any time signature truly programmable, with all the sounds you could want, with always an opportunity to have bar counts, subdivisions, volume control, random silences... I wish I had this app back when I started studying odd meters and metric modulations! You can just explore any possibility and hear them the way that helps you the most, it’s just nuts. - AMAZING app for learning AND teaching! I teach Alan Dawson’s ritual to my students, can input it all in the app, and make my students learn/practice the entire thing or rudiment by rudiment. Best is the ability to hear what it sounds like when the student is not so comfortable with reading. This point actually goes for anything really, you can hear stuff you can’t play yet, just amazing. - Practice tracking: it looks very well done for people that care about that, tracking how much time you spend on any given exercice. I’m a believer that results are more important than time spent, but I guess it’s a great way to see what’s up when results are not met :) - last but not least: this app is just smart, or I guess its developer is haha. It just feels right, logical and limitless, allowing you to work on any musical situation, not limited by the software. Honestly: bravo for making this! Buy it, no brainer, best tool ever.

Great metronome. I was considering buying a Roland device and decided on polynome. It does almost everything I want, including counting out loud beats. Highly recommend it.
