App freezes

Maria Valentine

App freezes and does not refresh. Same articles from four days ago appear on my screen. I deleted the app and re-downloaded app to re-boat.

Good source of news. Bad app for getting it.

Cool Epy Jay

Occasionally (more often then I'd like) the app won't download new data. It's just stuck for several days. Even when deleting the app and reinstalling it's stuck in an old news cycle.

Miserable App

jesse f baby

Swipe to next article and it goes flying several articles down. Has had this problem for months and months. Edit - now just doesnt have anything. Content hasnt updated in 6 days

Great content, but app doesn't updat

...Josh...

This app does not update. You have to close it out completely and hope it updates on reloading. Seems like a simple thing to fix, but no one is apparently working on improving this app.

App has stopped updating since Aug 26, 2017

MikeBerns

Not sure what's happening but this has ceased to update the news.

Broken

Mujd96

This app never updates anymore. It's had 8/24 stories now for a week. Useless

Great News App

Politico has a new customer on the day republicans put out a new tax plan & found out the secretary for human services gouged tax payers & all while American citizens sit in red tape as aid is stalled in Puerto Rico's crises!

Horrid App

Anencephalic

The content is worthwhile, but it's like the creators of this app want to prevent you from reading it. The "navigation" is like blindly jumping through hyperspace. You have no idea where you might end up. I try swiping left and right but, instead of smoothly moving between stories, it's all twitchy and spastic. I can see the edge of a story I want to get to, but I can't make it land on that story. Just moving my finger slightly to the left and right, which should just move me between two stories, flashes glimpses of 4 or 5 different articles. Other news apps give the impression that there's some stationary content that their app provides a window into. You have a sense how the stories are laid out and where you are in that context. Not so with the Politico app. Instead it's chaos. Blank pages, stories with a picture but no content, videos with no play button. It's incredibly frustrating. I am on an iPad Air 2 with iOS 10.3.2.

Good content, when it works

John Yehl

Every two or three days the app actually works. The rest of the time it just displays a message "Loading" or "Updating". They said they fixed this with their last update. It's worked once since. It's been "updating" since June. Unfortunately zero star ratings aren't allowed.

App Is Badly Designed

Darr'ksky

App is really badly designed and really really buggy. You are more likely to encounter a blank screen then Politico content. App is “designed” to update every time it opens, regardless of whether you have connectivity or not. If you don’t have connectivity, it just stays blank with no access to any content! For anyone with spotty connectivity during the day, whether b/c you live in a rural area, or commute on a subway, or work in a skyscraper, this is a showstopper, and more than likely, your Politico “app” is blank at the time you most want to use it. App also glitches on certain articles or sections and navigation is bad to the point of comedy. If you have lots of time, patience, and an ironclad wifi signal then you are the intended audience for this “app.”
