No purchase necessary, you can pvp and earn coins and packs through diligence. Good game but feels aged. Feels slower and heavier than most card games. Even games with more 3D effects and internet demand are faster now a days. Which is why I hardly play it, also it's only on the iPad so I can never just jump on whenever. Last thing is the intent behind player avatar items kind of falls through since avatars are so ugly that items don't improve them. Find a way to take the bulk out of the game and put it on a phone, idc if it's 2d and minimalistic, if it's fast, it's fun.

This game for offline mode is really rigged, yes they almost always get heads and rarely get tales! ? so my pokemon in action is always getting paralyzed or falling asleep, PROGRAM IT WHERE THE BOTS ARE AS LUCKY AS US (I know you won’t respond like 95%)

Graphics are excellent and the game is easy to learn for beginners. I just dont get why it crashes so often, especially when Im winning. Then I get notified of the server being down network failure. Its fun but expected a lot of crashes.

This game is downright handy, but if I want to build Buzzwole/Lycanroc, just forget it. You can’t build anything truly competitive unless you spend additional money on the right codes. Also, 2 Zoroarks for a Tapu Lele? That’s a trade that should be flagged.

Dear PTCGO, Please bring back the qr code scanner for us newer players that have held on to our tcg qr cards so we could one day play online. i personally have 140, count em, tcg code cards and i don’t want to go on to the site to type in all the letters and numbers. Uninstalled after losing to a Promo MewtwoEX with the “Damage Changer” attack. I’ve ignored several other toxic cards in this game but that is too much. Two stars because the interface and app are slick. Not more because the game itself is full of toxic, broken cards that are not fun to play against. Seems like someone sits in a room thinking of “cool” ideas and does not consider balancing cards or general playability of the game. Go play a better TCG. Don’t waste time on Pokémon’s.

I was playing for the first time and it was good but I already knew how to play and there was no option to skip the tutorial which was fine I completed it then I put in some of my code cards from the physical booster packs and it worked I was happy but then it kicked me out and said no connection to sever please try again later I did over and over I double clicked and swiped up I fully powered my iPad off nothing worked I even deleted the app and got it back and the same thing still happened so I tried the tutorial again and I completed it I tried to sign in again and the same thing happened if the developers fix this I will get it back but right now I’m pretty mad so I’m not getting it back because I had also entered 10 codes into the game and then it stoped so if the devs fix it I will get it back.

This app works just as well as its Mac counterpart. My only complaint is that you can not redeem code cards on the iPad version. That feature is available in the android version. It needs to be brought to iOS.
