This is worth the money for the frequent podcast listener. It's fast, nicely designed, and doesn't come with the absurd bugs and other problems that the Apple Podcasts app does. I wish there was a way to display the starred podcasts in collapsed groups, but that's the only issue that I've found.

Overall good app but if something goes wrong no one will help you. I had a podcast that wouldn’t download and I emailed them three times with no response.

I literally use this app everyday - walking my dog, listening in the subway, working out, and sending notes/podcast episodes to friends. I bought PodCruncher at least five years ago and it’s been my first choice for podcasts ever since. I vastly prefer this to Overcast, Podcasts, and other apps. The best features let you create playlists of specific episodes (I have ones labeled “next road trip,” “great interviews,” “LOL,” etc.) instead of just smart playlists, custom settings per podcast, multiple sharing options, notes for each podcast are easy find and view. My only wishes for the app: better search/browsing interfaces and some way to listen to single episodes without subscribing. My other wishlist item is a PodCruncher app optimized for iPad; currently the app’s graphics are too small for the iPad screen. At this point, the positives vastly outweigh the negatives, I’m loyal to PodCruncher, and I would gladly pay for another version for iPad. Thanks to the company for creating a great app and staying current with updates!

Usage: Daily Pros: Gits 'er done just fine. Cons: Not enough landscape viewing. Reqs: landscape, "dark" scheme available throughout app.

“Problem saving after updating podcast stats on refresh <null> / <updating podcast stats on refresh>” Happens all the time. Sort podcasts additions are nice but I still wish we could make folders so we can separate shows based on our own categories/labels not just playlists.
