I️ love earning points at work

Jameslosvally

It’s been a while since I’ve opened Pocket Points, and I was pleasantly surprised to see you can earn points outside class now! Also gift page keeps getting better, Jamba Juice jumped on board in my area

Great way to stay focused and earn things!

New Update ??

JoisyShore

The new update makes it extremely hard to earn points. I used to earn outs no matter what the length of time was, now you have to set a timer for very little reward. & if you don’t reach the goal (class ended early) I didn’t get any credit for the time I did have my phone locked. I’ve also had it simply not give me points at the end of time. After a day of class I only gotten 5 points, which makes it VERY hard to accumulate for any rewards.

Awesome!

Can we get any coffee places? Students would die for prices off of coffee. At least my whole physical therapy classes would!

Needs better deals

Mistafun21

I love the concept, the execution could be better due to the app not always being able to detect when I’m in class. For example, I’ll use the app during class, but when I come back to my phone, no points will have accrued. NEEDS BETTER DEALS. Most of the deals are discounts that the companies already offer. There are very few incentives to even use this app if I can get the same discounts for just going to the vendor’s website. Chick fil a used to be the best one, but that’s gone now. Definitely needs more food option. Mediocre app until they can get more/better deals, even if the rewards cost more.

Interesting concept, terrible execution.

Mengo04

Fun idea, but it has a terrible execution. Discounts are generic trash, accidentally brushing thumb on thumb recognition on triggers pocket points timer to cancel making you lose those two hours worth of pocket points, and not a lot of other incentives like using points to decorate the app to show off to people. Needs better discounts. Those buy one get another 50% off discounts or the stupid free shipping discounts for online stores don’t cut it and are generic. How about more of those 20%-50% off A SINGLE purchase or something. Or give us a ranking of coupons where gold coupons are the best deals but has an extremely high point cost or where bronze deals are your generic discounts but cost the least points. Those would be tons better. It needs to get more into pop culture like music, anime, movies, etc. let us use our points to rent movies or something I don’t care how, just make it happen!!! Allow the app to not cancel when on the app that includes locking phone and unlocking. This prevents further accidents when accidentally unlocking your phone. Time cancel should trigger when entering home screen or another app, but never when you are on the pocket points app. You can’t even do much on it anyways. Get more creative with the use of points. Let us use them to decorate the app with the cool coupons we used or unlock really cool new features or something, ANYTHING! Make us buy themes relating to what’s popular nowadays! I’m literally stock piling points (humble 1k worth of points) because discounts are trash. Give us medals that show how hard we are working or something so others can see instead of a plain leaderboard!!! In conclusion, maybe I’m asking too much, and it’s probably more complicated from the backstage perspectives of how this app works, but that doesn’t change the fact that I feel this app is underwhelming because I really like the idea and want it to be a thing. I want it to be where people will wonder why their generic coupons they get from the dusty mailbox are so inferior compared to others who use the amazing powers of THE POCKET POINTS to make a single purchase 30%-50% off or even dare I say, 60% off!!! But no it’s just another way to get more generic lack luster coupons you can get from the mail. Friends will see they’re not missing out on much so they simply move along.

Great Idea, app doesn’t work half the time tho.

seanseansss

I would give this 5 stars if it worked well, but half the time I’m earning points, it says I failed to reach my goal even though I don’t use my phone. I’ve missed out on hundreds of points that I should have earned this week. Love it when it works but it pisses me off when it doesn’t.

Meh

Nami_Dia

When this app first came out I loved the idea, it’s great for students, it’s incentive to stay off your phone during class and you can use the rewards to save money because as a college student you are really on a budget. I really liked the system, the only thing I felt was lacking was the rewards but I figured that would get better with time. I stopped using it when I couldn’t spend my points on anything. I picked it back up after the update and I absolutely hate the goal change, it’s just a way to cheat you out of points. It also doesn’t really make sense because now you have to check your phone and tell it to keep going occasionally which defeats the purpose of getting you off your phone. The rewards increased in the number of places but they still haven’t gotten better. It’s just not worth spending a crap ton of points on 5% off someplace I wasn’t planning on going in the first place. This was originally targeted for students but now they are trying to broaden the spectrum of users, which is fine, but if you are catering to students and people of low income maybe have rewards that actually make sense to your demographic and are monetarily worth it. 5% a clothing store I can’t afford anyway isn’t really great.

Bet

Jr Awesome man

It’s a good app, really helps to keep me (as a student) focused.

Put Down Your Phone

CricketTeacher

This app helps me to put down my phone and focus on other things. I do hope they expand the number of food vendors that offer gifts. Fun to challenge members of one’s family.
