Very poor app

Good luck if you have access to your accounts, I tried to access my accounts to no avail, it repeatedly redirected me when I tried to sign up for the mobile banking and crashed. I guess I’ll be going to the branches to do business

Can’t login or get help

I can login my account on line with no issue but the app won’t recognize my username or password. It shows that my username is in use as well as my email address. I tried doing a “forgot password” and got the “we will send to your personal info” notice. Nothing came, tried 5 times. Verified all of my info on the website is correct. This app is useless

I wouldn’t give the app Zero stars. It gets the one start ONLY because you can suspend/I suspend your card and that’s about it. You can only view the last 20 (MAYBE 25) transactions of your history. Do you need to go back further than a few days ago? You’ve gotta login on a browser somewhere. You can’t deposit any checks whatsoever in any way shape or form through the app or in a branch. You have to set up direct deposit. You can’t perform any outgoing ACH transfers/payments, the ATM limit is a joke with zero possibility of increasing which is ridiculous considering you can’t possibly overdraw the account. Guess where you can find your account/routing numbers? NOT IN THIS APP. Gotta go into a browser. Need to dispute anything? Was there an unauthorized charge? Gotta wait 30 days for someone to do anything about it. Do you get a credit? Nope. Because your banking record has been blemished therefore any issue you complain about will be met with suspicion. There are actual prepaid cards that cost less and offer more than this ridiculousness. The ONLY reason I’m bothering to even keep this garbage open is because MAYBE I’ll be able to get an actual checking account after a year. PNC itself isn’t a horrible bank, it’s smart access accounts are just trash and they leave us on the back burner. It shows in the fact that they haven’t even bothered to update this app at all for 7 months, but they update their normal banking app monthly. My identity was stolen AND my bank account was torn to shred by whoever stole it, so I’m fighting blemishes on my credit and ChexSystems because of it and having to deal with the mistreatment based on wild assumptions is infuriating. I’ll be looking elsewhere for a “second chance” account. Otherwise I’ll keep this open and continue using my Chime card for all of my other needs. It’s such a hurdle to deposit money that this SmartAccess card won’t be used regularly.

What happened to Face ID & Apple Pay

I can’t use face ID anymore now that I updated the app on my new iPhone XS. Apple Pay Doesn’t work anymore with pnc smart. What happened? I was using both for the last two years. Customer service couldn’t help me. So they send a new card. Account Not Working for me Anymore!!!

Horrible app and subpar account

First of all, this app is ridiculous! I changed my password online but the app won’t recognize it. Also there is no mobile deposit option, no option to get direct deposit info, and it’s outdated in its aesthetics. The account is subpar because I can’t deposit or cash a third-party check against my account. PNC needs to do better!

Great card and account

I have had my account and card now for about 5 years love this account I can use as any other card and pay bills online.

Needs More Options

Need to add Deposit of Mobile Checks and transfers between accounts. No savings accounts like other prepaid cards.

Love my Card. Love being able to take out multiples of 1’s. The app is terrible. I was using it and then one day it stopped logging back in. I used the same info because it’s saved to my phone. Called SmartAccess and was told they would call me back once they figured out the problem. That was sometime last year and never heard from them. I used the online website instead and now that’s telling me I can’t use that anymore and to download the app. The same app that doesn’t work for me. Get it together PNC. Let us cash checks and get checks or have a savings account because the virtual wallet I don’t like.

App Update

This update is horrible. When you go into the app to check your available balance it is not updated. You have to go to your transactions to figure out. It also does not show your deposits. It’s a good thing I get notifications. The old app would update things as soon as they took place.

Until about 1.5+yrs ago this app worked great! I loved it. I was able to view my balances & see all my transactions - which is all I really wanted cus I only transf $$ that I needed. The card/acct is great for budget spending, & we treated it like cash in our pocket. But then the app just STOPPED working. To today (2019) it STILL tells me it’s unable to log me in. I even reset my password, tried creating a new account, and NOTHING!!! I had tried redownloading this app abt 1yr ago - hoping they fixed the problem, NOPE. And I see that STILL it won’t let me in. They should just get rid of this app - cus IT DOESN’T WORK!
