Great game, Great Port!

Allen Shull

I was told to go to another website to post a bug report myself. You do it yourself. -1 Star for bad customer support. Fantastic port of one of the best games of all time. Five stars for the game itself, of course. For the port, great pinch-to-zoom implementation (the transition from map view to normal view is spectacular!) and good options and effects for the whole game. Here are three requests, though: - Please add keyboard support. I have a keyboard for my iPad, and the dialogue options have clear 1-2-3, but there’s no way to do that. Just like on desktop, this game works great with cursor/touch, but keyboard makes it easier as well. - iCloud save support would be great! I have an iPad and an iPhone, and it would be great to share a save file between them! - If bug comments here don’t matter, then have some way of submitting them your preferred way WITHIN the Planescape: Torment app. Otherwise, responses seem more like “go away” than “let us listen to you better.”

A serviceable port to an excellent game

Beamdog's rehabilitation of the old Baldurs Gate games and Planescape has put a fresh new veneer on some of the best storytelling video games have to offer. I applaud their effort to port these games and offer them to a new generation of gamers almost 18 years after their original release. However, the love and care put in to the port is not enough to completely overcome the issues of bringing a game into a medium the original devs would have never dreamed up. The screen is too small on most iPhones to truly experience the game, and on newer phones the length surpasses the aspect ratio leaving long black bars on either side of the game. (An aside, there may be a function in settings that I keep missing that would fix this) An iPad will circumvent those issues or a DS stylus in a pinch, but the touch controls will always feel a tiny bit clunky compared to beamdog's excellent PC remaster. Otherwise the game is preserved and improved with much effort and care, and if you can handle a small amount of frustration this game will certainly reward you.

Unplayable

This game is frozen in time and the effort to port it to mobile was minimal. It’s like an unresponsive site that just scales down for mobile. Trying to click the menus requires multiple taps and seeing what’s you’re clicking requires a telescope. Don’t buy it if you’re hit with a pang of nostalgia. You’re better off with your memories of the original game.

No Translate

DO NOT RECOMMEND TO BUY. The author just adjusts price as update content last year! It’s better to go to play cracks, at least there is a language package inside.

Do not buy unless you have an I pad

Mudblood!!!

Unplayable on an iPhone 7. Yes I adjusted the settings. I wish I could get a refund. I get suckered by every tactical rpg they put on here! Update: developer responded. Go to this website a give us more details. Here are the details. Your game is unplayable on a small screen and you or Apple should give everyone who bought it on a phone a refund

Stuttering audio in cut scenes is portent of low quality

Lifebutnotasweknowit

It should be easy to just play back a video with an audio track.

Still made no effort to improve this game?

Someone commented on this TWO YEARS ago, the devs responded, but seemingly nothing came of it; the buttons and options for this game are incredibly tiny, requiring pinpoint accuracy to activate them, creating an extremely frustrating experience just trying to play the game. The Baldur’s Gate games aren’t so bad thanks to the UI buttons being larger and clearly labeled, but the UI for Planescape is different, the options are smaller, closer together, which makes them harder to press. And no, increasing the font size doesn’t help with options that are represented by images, and not text. You want to attack that enemy? Nope, instead of selecting your weapon, you just unpaused the game and had your party swarmed by enemies, who are now dropping like flies while you panic trying to hit the pause button again, and failing repeatedly. Seriously, ADD A UI SCALING OPTION!

I have a XS Max

I love all of the d&d games that are in this bundle but for some reason this is the only game that doesn’t support the X, XS, 11, type screen size and I know this might also be a lot to ask but could you also hide the bar at bottom or at least blend it in like most of the games you know the tiny bar at the bottom of the screen however there are no real problems with the gameplay that I have seen so far thanks for reading and I hope that this is fixed on all of the games it would make them perfect!

Sorry to say

This thing is kind of like Diablo, but the mobile phone adaptation is utter trash. UI is so small, untappable. Moving clicking attacking picking, are all multi step actions. UI is just plan ugly, very low res. Waste of $10.
