Bug

ManningRulz

There's a bug in the tutorial-- after it asks you to click on the druid's special ability nothing happens. Then it asks you to select from a menu that is not there. Please fix, this looks like it could be a great game.

Do not download

Baylorboy77

Unplayable, tutorial bugs out midway through (see other review). tried playing a single player game based on previous Master of Magic experience and couldn't event get the game to start once I selected all the parameters of the campaign...crashes to home screen every time. Wait until next update, save your money! I bought the $20 doc pack too, no more money for this company!

Want to play so bad! :(

Everything about this title makes me want to fall into it. Like bad. But just as bad, is the fact that during the tutorial when Druids have to cast acid arrow, you have no way of getting further. With a game of this scale (and a series I've never played, especially a fantasy 4x) I really need the tutorial to understand how to play. I tried playing a normal game and really didn't know which direction to even take. I want badly to give this game 5stars, and I'm probably going to, but be aware.

Brilliant Potential

Therin99

Early Impressions - This is a game aimed for people who are fans of games like Master of Magic, Worlds of Magic, etc. Slow, turn-based, 4x type game in a fantasy setting. Pros: Beautiful graphics. Excellent depth, from units to magic to cities; but it doesn't feel overwhelming. Outstanding onscreen help. Awesome interface/screen setup, exemplary even. Game designers super responsive (have reported that tutorial bug fix submitted to Apple; you can google outside forums where they post support.) Cons: Bugs (see other comments on the Tutorial bug). I have zero regrets thus far about spending the money. This is without question a premium title, and clearly a _great_ deal of work has gone into it. (I have played PC games that cost many times this that weren't as solid.) Will update again upon further play.

Incredible

Nancy's Fancy Potatoes

Amazing quality for a 4X game that I can keep in my pocket. Tutorial bug fix has been sent to Apple already and should be downloadable soon. You can easily put 30 hours into just the base game. That being said, I hope we will see the release of additional content for this already incredibly deep game.

Not bad

The game is a good game. Being a fan of master of magic I backed them for the PC version off Kickstarter. At this time, this version out ranks the Current PC version by far. I am waiting for that one too though. The game is strategy based and cannot be rushed through. Played through it once and liked it. The in app purchases are ok but $35 for an iOS game is a little steep. Given the depth of the game, it may be worth it. I wish there was a multiplayer capability. A hotseat version or pass n play option would make it even better.

Good but pricey

The Quacko

I'm cool with spending on apps, but I figured it would include the game but lots of in app purchases too!

Needs a guide

Lord of Dreams

It's a civilization game with some magic mixed in. Without a guide to explain when to use the spells or a myriad of other things it's hard to play well. Wait and see if they put out a guide.

Huge deep fantasy 4x

Sevren117

May be the first of its kind on iOS - very involved and responsive developer! Be warned - this will totally draw you in and not let go!! Thanks to the devs for the newest update!! Highly recommend this game!! Nothing else like it that I've found on the App Store - really strong community growing around this game.

Much better now!!

TheGillManLovesFish

Looks like all of the major kinks are out. Been playing fine most of the day now. I know that this is expensive, however it IS worth it. There's no real need to purchase the IAPs.
