Pictures are saved blurry.

Sgt. Virus

This app is awesome, but my only preference is that the pictures that are saved are blurry. The pictures are good to look at in the app, or if it has a high pixel amount, but doesn't look good if it's a smaller pixel size (In my case, 16x16). Thank you for reading.

Please update

Is there any way that I can use horizontal reflection or vertical reflection ? If yes that could be awesome !!!

Highly recommended

I got this app thinking that it would be fun to mess around with and maybe get into pixel art. It was a little overwhelming at first, but I soon found out how the app works. For that reason I wish there was some sort of introduction into the app and pixel art in general. I really love how the app feels and looks. It has a minimalist sort of feel. Some features that I would like to see soon would be different themes because the orange and gray are pretty bland. Having a sort of synch from drive to the app because I wanted to use this to make some textures for games but it is a huge process to find the file, download the file, and upload it again and it doesn't even upload as the same name which is annoying. I would think if it automatically saved so you didn't have to export it again would be amazing and make his app 10x more worth it. The exporting is extremely nice for artists because it allows you to scale it, choose what type of file, and where you want to export it to. All in all I am very impressed with the feel and capabilities of this app. Though it still has some things that need to be worked out, I think that it was totally worth it to download now and would suggest it to friends.

has lots of potential, but its missing some key things.

i’m a freelance artist that works digitally via computer or ipad. When I saw this app I was excited because a professional pixel app? yes please! except, it’s got a couple flaws. I’ve taken a while to try and sort them out and this is what i’ve come up with. ??Features this app NEEDS: A select/transform tool. Please, please, please. Just selecting the layer alone is not enough. If I draw two eyes on the same layer and decide they need to be closer together then there’s no quick way for me to just select the eye i want and move it. It’s beyond frustrating. A lasso, magic wand, select pen, selection box, any of these would be great. ??Features this app would benefit from: Clipping layers/alpha lock. this is generally standard with art programs, makes it easier to color/recolor and what not. Gradients/dithering. would love an option for this as it’s hard to blend normally. Layer groups and styles. The layer palette that is currently in use is real simple. Would love to be able to sort things into groups and then move those groups as a whole. Would really aid your missing selection tool. Also you have different pen styles but it’d be great to just have layer styles for darken, overlay, hard light, etc. Symmetry mode. Would love x and y axis symmetry at the very least. Its beneficial for creating patterns and whatnot. Pen pressure. Might seem odd for a pixel app but a lot of artists like drawing with pixels and pressure. paint tool sai/marmoset hexels has it and it’s great. Animation. This ones kinda obvious but frame by frame pixel animation would be great, albeit probably time consuming to implement. ??Things this app does NOT need: A zoom tool. If we can zoom in with our fingers there’s no real point of a separate tool for zooming in. Especially if the canvas limit is only 512x512 Also, a minor design issue but when inputting precise sizes with a keyboard there’s no real reason to have the full keyboard. a simple number pad would help the design flow. Last thing as well, the undo button is fairly close to the documents button, so one wrong tap (especially if mass undoing) can kick you off your document and then you lose your undo progress. Not the greatest. ???TL;DR It’s a great start and i use it for simple things like a rough sketch but that’s it. The missing select tool is just too heinous to use for more complex things.

I thought that wasn’t allowed anymore? Eventually I just had to say yes – but being forced into a rating means it’s going to be lower than the app’s quality would otherwise earn.

For all of you who want to know how to save an image so that it is NOT blurry here
