No Mavic Air support!

They support the spark, but not the Mavic Air!!!!

Solid app, improving quickly, some missing features

Gpvillamil

Have used this a few times, and is performing well now after some hiccups. A key tip, buried in the training videos, is to start your DJI drone, launch the DJI app to verify that all is good, then STOP the DJI app completely. This solved all issues with freezes and no images for me. They seem to be working to add features: the much requested mission pre-planning is now available on IOS. Still missing is multi-battery flights, though the project merge feature in the desktop app helps with this

Whole new level of bad!

R6Rider

I’ve paid for the software. I would expect more from a company that charges so much for the processing software. Don’t get me wrong, Pix4Dmapper is a great program but the collection app is horrible, I crashes drones, it doesn’t collect photos well at all! I love the pix4D software but the capture part is seriously buggy.

Overall good app

keyable

It does its purpose, but this app lacks the most useful feature, which is “import kml shape file”. This is available only for android version! Because of this i am forced to use other apps when i need to import pre-planned kml file! Please fix it!

Pilot

Better than others and it is free of charge! Tips: 1. Compass calibration and IMU calibration with DJI Go and then shut down DJI Go; 2. Keep connection between drone and remote control, otherwise it will NOT take photos; 3 check firmware updates.

iOS version has room for improvement

Pix4D is one of the better flight planning apps I have used for 3D mapping, although the android version has a couple features that are much more useful. Since DJI claims to work better with iOS I would prefer not to use Android to plan flights, but iOS does not support multiple battery flights, nor can you plan multiple missions within one project. Another annoyance is that I cannot find a way to rename my projects in the iOS version which makes organization a hassle. Overall I like the app but it would be nice to see more consistency between the iOS and Android versions.

Great Application

Havinero

This app is a tool and you must learn to use the too before you just let it go! I have used Pix4D for several years and flown 100’s of missions with no problems at all. I would recommend this app!!

A revolutionary tool

vislaw2

Bear in mind that this is a brand new product in its early stages as far as this application goes. That said, the tool is already an extraordinary example of how technology is truly changing what can be accomplished using inexpensive off the shelf devices. When you compare the point cloud that you can create with this application with those created by ground stations costing six figures your jaw will drop. I highly recommend spending a fair amount of time with the excellent videos available on the company's website in order to appreciate and understand the workflow.

A new way to survey

Rfuselier

Great app can't wait to see how it matures over the next several months. Definitely a game changer that can offer some very powerful tools. Will revolutionize the world of geospatial data collection. As a professional surveyor, I will make it part of my daily workflow. Looking forward to upgrading to PIX4D Pro version. As a surveyor, I would like to see the following added features: rotate grid, polygonal grid, control speed, calculated time of flight, project file saved to SD card so all can be transferred directly from card at once, manual control of overlap. Wonderful thanks for the tool you have totally made my year!

I want this to work but...

SmithRR

I too have had multiple attempts and no success. Twice it flew the prescribed mission but captured zero images. More often the aircraft takes off, goes to altitude and returns home. Two recommendations: operationally test! A lot! 2. Provide a comprehensive SOP in the APP.
