Superb Update!

Just downloaded the latest version of PirateWalla. This is now the premier item hunting application for Gowalla and the only use I use. The new feature for automatically shifting the center location is very nice! I really like the new Detail section, which should appeal to the hardcore Gowalla players. One note: I do not see an option for purchasing the new item location feature. Once this is available I will gladly upgrade. PirateWalla was worth 4.99 at the start and the extra 0.99 does not bother me at all for all the mileage I've put on it.

The only pirate is the developer. I paid five bucks for this app and now they decide it's a pay per use app and are making people who paid the original download fee pay even more. Apple should look into this. Don't buy it he'll screw you too.

Misunderstood the upgrade fee, met the designer, understood the new feature upgrades, and it's my favorite app again!
Highly Disappointed with Update

Originally paid $4.99 for the App, and it worked great. Talked with the developer, and he confirmed that now that it's free, I'm expected to pay an additional $4.99 to get the App back to work the way it did when I purchased it the first time. Essentially, I would have to pay $9.98 for a $4.99 App. Sorry, but I'm not playing that game.

I'm not particularly happy to have to pay ANOTHER $4.99 to get the updated app to fully function since I payed $4.99 for the virtually worthless original but it does work brilliantly, now. Minus 2** for the double cost, but if you are a first time user it is worth the up charge. 5***** rating if I get a refund for second charge.

The app won't work right if you have a space in your Wallabee user name. It might be great otherwise but I have a space so I can't say.

I love the concept of this app. However, I see no way to preview the functionality before the five dollar payout. The app opens. There is a map with a big red x. An icon says dig, but it is not activated. No marked locations or anything relating to Wallabee are visible. Instructions or at least an intro on start up the first time would be very helpful.

Must have add-on. Get it now while it is still free. I just downloaded this app and immediately it informed me there was an item in helocarrier that i did not have. Went there and got it. Not only that showed items close to me that are missing. And items that are improvements to the items I do have. Must have add-on.
