Disappointing.....
Muuurph

I was VERYdisappointed in this app- especially since it cost $4.99. This didn't search well- would constantly kick me out of the app- and when I did click a pin to see which items were there- it would just connect me to the actual mobile gowalla site. The bugs need to be worked out on this before you charge so much for it. I do not recommend this app at this time!

Useless
Pezster

Even if this app were free, I would uninstall it. In my experience it doesn't find items you don't have, it just finds items nearby, tells you one of the items at one of the nearby sites, and throws you over to the Gowalla website when you want to know more.

Save Your Money!

This app is terrible! Crashes all the time and does a poor job of searching.

Deserves zero stars- worthless garbage rip-off!
freelancing

Where do i begin?! Hangs after you enter your Gowalla ID Does not grab your location... only searches in Hawaii! I'm in Texas! Does not do what it says it does. I want my money back. Claims to search for missing items. It claims it finds a yo-yo (albeit in Hawaii), even though I've already vaulted the yo-yo. Screenshot shows it finding the Zappos book, which us misleading. Goes by standard collection items only, not specialty items. Graphics are poor, the pirate theme is a bit much. Please stick with normal English and fix this garbage. This app is a complete failure and an expensive rip-off to boot. This is the 3rd Gowalla app I've bought, the most expensive, and the worst. I have no idea how Apple approved this garbage. When I bought the app, there were no reviews yet, so I took a chance. Don't let this developer take one more penny from an unsuspecting customer. It does NOT work. The only person this would work for would have to be brand new to Gowalla AND live in Hawaii! Utter garbage!

New version is a big improvement!

I like how it scans grid by grid, and nice enhancement to continue searching after finding an item you need.

Worthless app - always freezes & crashes
PenguinPizza

App finds missing items, but every time you touch the alert of the found items, 1) the app freezes; 2) won't show you where the missing item is on the map; and 3) crashes It's a buggy and worthless. Apple may have thousands of apps to review, but this app never should have been approved.

Overpriced, just ok UI but does the job
ericlo

I would give this app more stars if the UI was cleaner and the price was lower. $4.99 for this app is just ridiculous. Should be no more then $1.99 for what this app provides.

Great for booty hunters
texkap

The app works pretty much as advertised. It experiences a lot of hiccups due to backend changes by Gowalla. However the most recent update seems to have fixed many issues. A must for Gowalla fans.

Terrible usability and marginal worth
Berklie

// Update Continues to be a complete piece of garbage. It hasn't even worked in months. Unless you have your Gowalla account "public"... it won't even bother to do an item search. If you have your Gowalla account set to "private" it states "You might want to check that you've got a valid GoWalla (sic) username." PATHETIC. All other Howalla search apps do not require your account to be "public" for them to look items up near you. This is garbage. // Original The interface is terrible (not intuitive at all when wanting to alter location), the usability is cumbersome (making one click through every found Item at a Spot), and the design is ugly (though one could debate this point). It didn't crash on me... but there are much better Gowalla apps for much cheaper. Look elsewhere.

Does the job
Cjessee2

It is expensive, but does the job. I was able to find several items I needed plus lower issue numbers. Worth the price IMHO.
