Very helpful

I mainly use this to remind me to take my meds. I rarely miss a dose now. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is that I move to different time zones several times a year. Pill Reminder takes weeks to change and I have to manually change it twice each time I move.

App is ok

Some suggestions for the developers: Default should be that I’m the user and other people have to be added. Instead this app had me add myself. Also, since I had to take antibiotics for a few days, I had the repetition end on a certain date, but it didn’t work. Instead it forced me to delete the whole thing. It would be nice if the pill reminder would tell exactly which medicine needs to be taken, rather than showing the whole daily list.

What good is it if it doesn’t have reminder times???

Good for what it does

Smiledaydream

After surgery, knowing when I took what was critical. The point of one drug was to escape pain but also made me less reliable. Now that I’m on a less critical regimen, I find using a sectional box works equally well. I can make mistakes with the box or the app. 5 stars as it works perfectly well for the intended purpose and has some cleverly designed options.

Great app, maybe minor suggestions.

First, thank you for an app that helps me keep track of the many, many pills, creams, and drops I need to give my mom throughout the day. Second, if I could make a suggestion, I would ask for 1. A way to set up a group of pills in say a morning, noon, evening, etc config so multiple pills can be logged as taken at a time with one click. And 2. Since it has happened twice to me now it would be nice if I could edit a doctors name instead of having to delete it and re-add it. Otherwise this works great.

Missed one

I really like this app and it would have received 5 stars but changes to my medication made me aware they missed one feature. The take as needed section does not allow you to check off when you took it. If you need to monitor have many pills and what time you took the pills , you’ll need a different app.

Still Awesome!!!

Rgfear

I have reviewed this app before when I first got it. It is now been at least three years that I’ve been using it every day. And it is still absolutely awesome!! Every time I meet somebody, i.e. like in the doctors office or nurses, etc.– I tell them about this for themselves or their patients who have trouble remembering to take meds. I often get a smile when my phone in public reminds me “you’ve got meds to take“. ;) I agree with one of the other reviewers that it would be great to have a way to remove a medication without removing all of its history. As a workaround until this could be figured out, WHAT I DO is change the name of the medication by putting DISCONTINUED (In front of the name of the medication) and putting it at the bottom of the list. I then take out all reminders and information so it doesn’t show up. Then I use the NOTES section to have a record of why this medication was stopped and any notes about it that a relative for the future. But it would be nice to have an “archived meds” section for this purpose. This could even be added to the paid for app as an incentive to have people purchase this app. Honestly, I normally never purchased apps and just put up with the commercials. But this app has by far been the best couple dollars I’ve ever spent.

Deleted History

I changed the start time on a reminder and it deleted, without warning, all the historic entries.

Works great - except…

Calvin's Pal

There is apparently no way to adjust dosages once completed. In particular, when a drug has proven effective and is to be stopped early, deleting the reminder unceremoniously deletes the entire medication history. The only way I noted to preserve historical data is to backup the db prior to deleting the reminder. Having had surgery less than a week ago, it’s important for me to have the historical data to support potential dosage changes. It’s a great app filling a big void, but it’s not quite ready for prime time. Sorry Charlie…

Won’t transfer information

yinehay

I wanted to fill out the information on my iPad to have a larger screen and then transfer it to my iPhone to have the reminders to take my medication, however, I don’t see a way to get the information over to the app on my phone. Please tell me I don’t have to fill out the app on my phone after I’ve already spent 2.5hrs on my iPad...?
