I guess

llundber

It does show problems in the network but it’s HORRIBLE for planning routes on the MTA. I mean really really bad. I looked at a few routes from my home into downtown and BK but it showed them all confusingly and in a few cases, just plain wrong. Not happy. Removing it.

Two missing features

Grockatron

Great app and I find it more intuitive to navigate than some of the other competitors, but it's missing two things: 1) bus arrival times as others have noted 2) I wish that the "send ETA" button didn't force the person receiving your ETA to download the app just to see where you are. Why can't this link to a web page so people can see my location with just a web browser?

How about a bus version? It’s very helpful as people are involved. Nice app!

Day- needs bus info

Eliza Audrey

It did not have bus info, I sometimes take the bus I would like to know when the buses are coming.

Does this thing work?

idontwanttoaddaname

It’s ok. First time using it was this morning and the time for the arrival of my train was t even correct so I missed my train... I’ll try again but don’t really expect too much. ***UPDATE*** Honestly guys...i have notifications on for a reason. How am I supposed to know there’s a service change, do I look st the app consistently before I leave, because I don’t receive notifications. This is what I’m talking about, I see 13 minutes ago the app said the subway was leaving, now I get down here and I STILL HAVE 6 min Left. Time is crucial especially in the city and especially so early in the morning this is the THIRD time you guys got the train time wrong or just didn’t even bother letting me know by TEXTING ME. Now, I will be late to work and I want to thank you for allowing me to be LATE TO WORK FOR THE THIRD TIME. I have deleted this app.

Not a good app when you really need this

A Must for Every Commuter

MadMisterSmiley

I use it at least once a day, to check my usual trains to see what fresh Hell awaits me, or if I have to detour thru the malebolge.

Pigeon is the ? Subway App.

Hot Karl Peterson

I highly recommend this app if you commute often, have more than one subway line near your place, or transfer trains regularly at busy stations. It provides real time options to make sure you arrive on time and with less frustration! Three straight days, and three straight saves by Pigeon Transit when commuting from Brooklyn to meetings at Lincoln Center and Midtown East. Example: pigeon alerts me that L is having issues so I seamlessly audible on my walk subway and head toward the J train. At Essex st station, I intend to hop on the F, but F is stuck in BL due to mysterious issue (as noted by rider feedback) even though screens say it’s 5 min away, so I tweak the plan and catch the M to west 4th and the A at west 4th to arrive for meeting on time and not 10 minutes late. The app makes the subways come alive on the map and feel like they are working for me, not constantly letting me down... Get this (free) app on your phone!
