Sweetastic!

Nice, but a few requests

Great idea to make a pretty fun game out of ear training. Lots of laudatory reviews. Would be nice to include other scales though. Wish list: other key centers beyond C, natural and harmonic minors, commonly used modes of major scales (aeolian, dorian, lydian, and mixilydian), as well as minor pentatonic, and blues scale. This app would be a total rocketship.

Great app

I love the app. Great for improving your ears. But the sounds make me jump and are very unnecessary.

Punishing

You have to remember the notes played and also the buttons that play them. I find that my ear is not so much the issue as my memory. If I have trouble finding the button then I just get lost between the reference notes and my attempts to locate them. Only a couple of re-listens are allowed per session(opposed to per try). One they're gone that's it. I have stopped using it because I'm stuck and I'm tired of not getting any further. I would like variable amount of re-listens to make it more about my ears than my memory. I'd like it to be fun enough to continue and ideally get better as a result and then make it harder when I'm ready. I know it's not doing me any favors to make it too easy, but it'd be nice to not have it be so all or nothing. Make it more flexible please.

Not as good as I thought it would be

I got really tired of the intro music really fast. The sound it makes when you make mistakes is annoying. I like the way it is structured as a game but haven't found it as useful as other ear training apps I have. It was like a game of memory to see if you can remember which note is under which circle especially when dealing with the pentagonal scale. I plan to use it some more but I get much more satisfaction from other apps I've bought, all of them less expensive than this one.

Pretty fun, very helpful so far.

I just bought this, but I'm really impressed with how this is designed. It's uncluttered with a straight-forward user interface. My only wish would be to add the electric bass as an instrument of choice. I'd pay more for that feature.
