Frustrated?

To good to be true

Cannot download a thing. I have tried repeatedly and it always says download failed. Why is this? I bought 2 pianos that require this app and it does not work. I bought one for my granddaughter for Christmas and feel bad that it will not work for her. What a lousy gift!

More songs ...

Good tool, but there is hardly enough songs to interest the serious apprentice. How about a few simple jazz or pop standards?

Can not stop video

dr.ash47

You can't fast forward or rewind with ipad2. So difficult to learn this was. It becomes tedious and boring. If they fix that it would be five star.

Bug

George Liu:)

The bug of failing on moving forward and backward needs to be fixed for iPad 2 IOS 6.1

Great concept and works well, but...

Using it with the Ion keyboard works beautifully. It's very cool to see and hear the teacher say "these keys" and those keys light up on the keyboard as he plays them. The keyboard has two on-board speakers through which you hear the piano and the teacher, and the sound reacts to how much pressure you put on the keys. Pretty sophisticated for such an inexpensive product! The problem, for me, is the instruction. I have zero experience with piano and it would help to be able to slowly roll the instruction backwards to repeat just one segment… hand placement for a chord, for example. As it is now, you can stop/freeze the image on the iPad screen, and hit the play button to continue, but you can't "slow rewind"… it has to start from the beginning. Another problem for me… It's hard enough to learn the chords, but the finger placement is shown how it should be, but then adapted to fit the 15-key keyboard, making it very confusing. Another problem is the teacher. I like him and his easy-going manner, but he should have read from a script, or at least notes. He appears to be "winging it", because of all the times he corrects himself. (Why didn't they just edit out the bloopers?) All-in-all it's a brilliant concept and implementation, but the instruction is not well thought out. In any case, it beats trying to learn from a book.

Major problem

The Delly Lama

it seems like such a great idea. But you can't stop and rewind the instruction if you missed anything. It goes right back to the beginning and you're forced to start again. Worthless.

Great with one exception

MyNameIsKeith

I just got the Ion piano to go with this app. I've never played a piano before and have found this app to be a great way to learn already. I will say though that the ability to scrub through the videos would be a massive improvement to the experience. I get lost quickly and I'd love to just jump back to anywhere in the videos. Also, it would be great to slow down the sheet music to lower than 60 bpm. Otherwise, great app.

Add more please

Nice app, limited on available songs. Any chance you can add more/update? Works well for learning basic cords etc.

Not for Beginners & No headphone jack!

Corinna22

This app is good, but it is not for beginners. The rewind/forward feature needs to be fixed for the new OS. (Every time you try to move to a section of the video it moves back to the very beginning.) Slower keywork and slower progression of lessons would be helpful for true beginners--things move way too fast for true piano novices. Maybe differentiate the lessons so that they match student levels- from people who have never touched a piano on up? Finally, the piano does not have the advertised headphone jack.

Awesome

To be honest, it's a really dope app.. & the rewind thing y'all are complaining about doesn't happen to me. Amazing app
