Great App for practicing

MMGDL

This is working great for practicing, addressing timing issues, and clarifying any doubts in between lessons. I'm looking forward to the next levels since my older child using level 3 books can't use this and he would greatly benefit from this app.

Big disappointment! ?

Ezzyreader

This is a big disappoint! Try Piano Maestro by Joy Tunes. You won't need any cable connections. You just need to enable your microphone on your iPad and you can play on your acoustic piano. It is so cool with lots of song choices. ☺️

Excellent

iRad21

Not only is the Adult Book 1 excellent, but with this app you can now also hear how a selection goes but see the actual notes as they are played. This app opens up so many possibilities. I was only too happy to pay the $5 for all the songs!

Less Impressive

JuddzRUs

I was REALLY excited (as a piano teacher) to not deal with all of the cd's. I was frustrated when as soon as it I ally downloaded I had access to only 3 songs PER SKILL LEVEL. It would be more beneficial to me to pay a one time higher fee & have access to ALL of the songs than to pay $4.99 per Skill level/book. I can't recommend this to my students as the price is so exorbitant.

Revolutionary Approach to Piano Pedagogy

Brzunika

This app has been so amazing in my piano lessons. I have 25 students and this app is so motivating in my elementary students lessons. It's not just CD tracks; you can customize the tempo, accompaniment vs piano volume, and they can watch the music on the screen. I sincerely am indebted to the Fabers for this amazing app. I know this review seems a bit inflated but I use this app so much it's really merited! I really hope they come out with new tracks for 3B and adult level 2 especially.

Way to sightread!

Happy Piano Teacher

I only start students off with Faber Piano Adventures books up to about level 2A before switching to easy classics, but I use this app as required sight reading material for many students!! There are only two things not great about it. 1. repeats don't scroll ahead so you are never visually prepared for a repeat: I remedy this by warning students they have to scout out if the piece has a repeat ahead of time and memorize the beginning, and, 2. There are no fingerings, dynamics or articulation marks in the app. However, if students really want those, I suggest they get the books, however for our purposes, we don't bother and get our performance ideas from the titles and the context. But those certainly don't outweigh the fifty thousand good things about this app. If the accompaniment feels a little too busy it is easy to turn the volume down. The metronome sound is better than most. The demand for staying on the beat is just what my students need. So happy to have found this!!

It is easy to use. It is cheaper

Kingbird4

I always want to have a book like this. I can connect my digital piano and start to play. It's ok cheaper than a CD.

Why

Yolk Yonkers yonk

I bought the book irl and now I just to play along

Usability low

Uninstall now

I wish the books come with CDs which I can load to smart phone and play the whole album with ease. This app not only costs money but is not easy to use - only play 1 song at a time, then have to go to menu, select the next song, hit play, etc. I was hoping to download all the songs but didn't think it's doable. The app offers other features but are not critical for us. Just focus on the very basics - let us play the songs as easy as possible.
