Good but asked to pay again for same book
gateaux35

I have paid $4.99 for level 1 and have been using to practice for a big while and now it asked me to pay again $4.99. I dont mind paying 4.99 for every book but to have to keep paying I think that is too much. And if it is a mistake who can help me to fix it.

Perfect Companion For Learning Piano
TD Callahan

What a fantastic tool this app is. My daughter and I are learning piano and this app has several valuable tools built into it that will help you with your lessons and practice. It’s very easy to use and is full of useful features such as music scores with backing tracks, tempo adjustments, mute left or right hands, looper, metronome, and more. Very well priced as well.

it lacks sync with books.so how can students follow?
nareshknk

The app and books show difference in music notes. How come students follow. They need expertise here.if they get expertise.....no need to use this app. I wasted money.

Lacking

This app is almost helpful. Music in the app does not include musical notations... these notations are crucial to learning the piece correctly.

Need an update

Need an option to hear just the piano play
jiinja

I just bought this level 1 and it needs an option to hear just the piano play. It’s too distracting and noisy for a new, young player with the other sounds of other instruments

Beautifully designed but the music should be free.
Lover ??

This app is beautifully designed, with options for tempo, metronome, and piano backup or a variety of instruments. The only problem is that most of the songs cost money. Every book is 4.99, so if I bought every book it would be over 40 dollars! I’m not paying that money just so I can play along with music. It would be better if more songs were free, or if there were no purchases and everything was free. You are supposed to be helping people to learn to play piano, not forcing them to buy stuff. Also, for people who said they just wanted to hear the piano... To do so, look at the small buttons on the right. Next to the metronome button, there is a button with a + and a music note. Click it. Hope this helped.

In app purchase system doesn’t work for schools
Crychael

I love this app. For my private students who have iPads, this app has completely replaced any need for a book and really enhances their performance. By requiring books to be purchased through in app purchases though, schools with a 1:1 iPad system can’t get “class sets.” If you could buy a full version upfront, then schools can purchase the copy of the app instead of creating a situation where parents are putting their credit card info into a school moderated/owned iPad. If there were a way to make class sets happen my school would purchase the first 3 levels 60 times a year. This app isn’t intended to replace the actual books for students who are teaching themselves. The books have explanations for all major concepts. The app only has the music with playback. If you’re teaching yourself, go buy the book on Amazon and then maybe use the app as supplement. For teachers who know what’s presented in the book though I’d HIGHLY recommend making the switch to the app.

Only one star bc...

Free but not really

I own the Adult Piano Adventures book which is okay but was looking for music examples to go along with it. After noticing in the front of the book it mentions about this Free companion app. I thought perfect so I downloaded it and sure enough it is free to download. To my surprise though when I click in the app to select the book I’ve already purchased it asks me to purchase the songs. Why? Why not just include the prices of the songs in with the book and offer an access code like every other book I have. I wouldn’t recommend the Piano Adventures books or App after seeing this. There’s just too many other options out there that includes the online songs with the book.
