I am very impressed and while my brain has exploded a bit from all the great info I have already used PhotoPills to capture a very nice (for me) Milky Way shot.

I used to love this app for a lot of things, until I tried using the AR feature. After recalibrating it with the sun multiple times, it still could not figure out which direction I was looking. I finally got it to where I could trust it by dialing it in with an actual compass. I then composed the shot and lined up for the moonrise. A shot I had been meticulously planning for sometime. According to the Moon AR, I was right on target... Not! The moon rose about 60° to my right, by the time I had recomposed, not only did I lose my composition, but I missed the shot entirely. Not reliable. At all. Huge disappointment.

Love this app!! Sooo much information to help plan shoots. Tells you when and where to plan you shoot perfectly!!! Haven’t seen an app with so much infomation and how-tos!!

Need a getting started for dummies! I love this app!!! I have had it for a year or two but have just recently started trying to learn how to use the planner. I also just realized you have great photography articles. I always just viewed this as a sun and moon tracker with awesome ar. But this is so much more. I really need to learn the basics but have not found a good way to do that. The academy is great but I don’t see a getting started overview. Keep up the great work you have started!!!

IPad OS 13 issue

On my iPad Pro, if iPad iOS 13 is turned on, no visible maps in planner, just the azimuth lines. Any advice?
