Has potential for a great learning application. Does not work consistantly, need to restart the application often because pages freeze and won't continue with activity. Graphics are good.
This app allows practice with decoding words, phrases and sentences ....and allows the child to practice reading! My daughter can not read yet, but loves this app as it really does allow her to play with words and read sentences independently!
I wish I could get past the matching the vowel to the correct picture! It keeps getting stuck on that activity. Not sure what causes it to freeze up. Please fix the hiccups so that I can give this app a better rating. Thanks.
The person who rated this at three stars must have been looking for fun things for kids only. There is a real difference between what kids will play when they are on their own at home using their parents' iPad or iPhone and what is useful in the classroom. It is not that this app is not fun, but it is not a game as such. This would be an excellent app in the classroom when children are learning long vowels. That can be a very difficult skill to master with automaticity. This app would help.
