You can choose three categories:

A. Addition
B. Subtraction
C. Mix of Addition and Subtraction

Within each category, you can choose five levels, starting with numbers from one to five, and advancing to double digits.

For the beginner levels, there is also a visual hint to help your child count to the correct answer.

Once your child gets a sufficient number of correct answers, the app will automatically advance to the next level.

This app is designed to adapt to your child's ability, and to be progressively more challanging as your child's math skills improve.

Math Bug is a Universal App, so it works with both iPhone and iPad.

RIPOFF

Requires in app purchase to play past Level 2. That will be $1.99 please. Way overpriced for the quality.

In the addition level that I played ALL the answers were the greatest number. I didn't even have to look at the problem to score 100. The other two choices given for the answer were very unreasonable. Many of the choices for the answer were not even as large as the numbers you were adding. As a math teacher, I do not recommend this app.

Should be more than a sales pitch for developer apps

My 2.5 year-old has played with this app for 20 minutes, max. Now it won't go home or anywhere else but the app store. More importantly, there is little more here than a math drill with cute but mostly unrelated graphics. Each problem has the exact same graphical layout. Variety in numbered objects would help; icons that appear in a manner that promotes counting would help; birds that seem to get stabbed, spray blood and scream with each incorrect answer would be less troubling to me as a parent. Otherwise, the app actually works, it's just

Better answer choice
Stay home momma

I would love this app if it weren't for the answer choices. It is not good practice for kids if neither of the other 2 choices are even close to the right answer. I sat and watched my son play and he wouldn't even really add the numbers together. He would say (for example) 9+6 has to = 15 because 2 and 7 don't even make any sense mom. Even though it's great that he is using his deductive reasoning, I want him to actually practice adding. To me the answer choices to the previously mentioned problem should be an easy rule out like 4 or something, but then the other wrong answer should be closer to the real like 14 or 16. If this problem were to be fixed I would definitely buy and recommend this app to others!! Please let me know if the problem is ever fixed!?

WONDERFUL!
