Grindingly frustrating

I take back my 5 star rating. It's becoming obvious (in the caverns) that I'm spending more and more of my time feeling frustrated and not having fun. I've been working on this game for weeks now and I'm still only in the caverns. "Babble" is an example of an excruciatingly difficult level, and it's not even a boss level. I've played penumbear this long, I've got the game mechanics down, but these levels are still so unrelentingly hard that I've lost interest in the game. Sorry guys.

Truly... the best game EVER. even tho I almost smashed my iPad a hundred times in dire frustration. scratch that - a THOUSAND times. but so worth it. :)

This game is a real piece of interactive art that really gets you to use your head to figure obstacles out. I hope there will be a sequel because I'm afraid I may be approaching the last levels and I really want to savor them before they're gone. Absolutely worth the money.

This is a great game in many respects. It has great graphics, good controls, and a decent amount of challenge. However, it is beatable (I've beat 100% of it) and is not exactly impossible. My only complaint is that some of the achievements don't appear when I accomplish something, as well as a couple other minor glitches, but it is a great game nonetheless, and would definitely recommend to anyone.

In the same league as Swordigo, Incoboto and the ill-fated Project Belle, Penumbear is a defining platformer for not only iOS, but the genre itself. Minus the lame pop-up ads upon start-up that Bulkypix added in a PAID game (apparently there if you haven't played for a certain period of time, or something similar) the game is a masterpiece from head to toe. Challenging, beautiful and absolutely brimming with personality, Penumbear is a must have.
So far I'm loving it!

However I don't understand how to get the bear in 'backtrack'. The one that's blocked off by the purple light. /:

Ok, I absolutely love this game. I LOVE platformers, and this is one of the best. BUT...I despise the fact that when I die, MY BEARS ARE GONE!!! That is by far the MOST annoying aspect of this game (for me), and the sole reason for the 3-star rating; otherwise, it'd have 5. Oh, and I hate the dumb bear eating rock teeth that blast out at you at Mach 5--I can hardly tell where they are! If you don't have this game, get it. But be prepared to go back numerous times to REget your bears!! Ugh, that is SO frustrating. And pointless really. Just let me keep my bears!
