Too bad it's a subscription app.

Eriptron

Is they go under financially, quit, die, or whatever then you can't use he app?

They ruined it and want more money!!

Golowah

They stopped asking for more money so I moved it up to 3 stars. I have been using this app for a long time and paid for it in the beginning. Below, you can read my original glowing review. However, the developers have done virtually nothing since then to improve the app and I have found it to be very unstable, frequently crashing and losing my annotations. I was happy to see an update pop up for it a few days ago, however instead of improving it this update just makes the app harass me to pay for a subscription to use their new updated version of the app. This is ridiculous, especially since I already paid for this app! If you want split screen in a PDF reader, get easy annotate. For other stuff, go with any app that doesn't crash constantly and doesn't try to get more money from you after you already paid for their product. If they want to switch to a subscription model, fine, but give a free subscription to the people who bought your app when you were just getting started. If you won't do that, you have no integrity and deserve to crash and burn! I have been using the free version of this app which is a reader only for quite a while because it is by far the fastest I have seen. Meanwhile I have hunted everywhere for split screen PDF apps. I have side by side which is nice but can't annotate. I have Easy Annotate which has great potential but which I find slow and temperamental as well as having issues with annotating text in languages that put some characters above and below others. Recently I learned that this app had added a spit screen view. I decided to get it and am very impressed. As a PDF viewer, annotating app, this is the best I have used. The highlight tool works great in any language I have tried. Split screen is excellent and easy to use. File management is functional and easy to navigate. This is not a media player, browser, Swiss Army knife but it is a great pdf app. Why only 4 stars then? There are a few minor things that could be improved. 1. Simplify the highlighter color selection. I don't need a million color choices. I do need about 5 good distinct colors that can be easily changed. The implementation is not terrible, but would be much better if everything but a simple selection of preferred colors was under a secondary menu. 2. Any time you are annotating, the undo, redo buttons should be visible. Right now, they are often not. 3. The file outline and bookmarks need to be accessible in split screen mode. 4. The underline feature looks excellent, however it is not in the same menu as the highlight option or as easy to use. It would be really nice if those two options and their color selections were together and if you could underline as easily as you can highlight. Thanks for a great app. I will be recommending it to many people and will love it even more if you can implement these suggestions.
