Good app for sequencing. Love that it adapts to the child's skill level, so it is challenging for a wider range of abilities. Good variety of objects in each pattern set. SUGGESTIONS FOR THE DEVELOPER: For English reading from Left to Right, it would make more intuitive sense to put the blank in the pattern at the END, instead of the beginning. Also, the two strikes and you're out principle is silly. Either let them try twice and then finish the puzzle for them or take away the wrong choice after they've tried it until they gotten the right answer. The two strikes can be discouraging for a preschooler. Overall good app and useful, after trying it out with a few kids in my office, it definitely makes it difficult for young learners to catch on with the blank at the beginning of the sequence instead of the end.

nice pattern making app

Well done app for pattern making. Useful in a classroom as well as for households with more than one child using this app. Each level gets progressively more difficult as a child gains mastery. You can review a child's game history under the i button beside your child's name to track progression and timing. After successfully completing 5 patterns, your child is given a little reinforcer video of their progression. You could probably generalize in real life by using tiny erasers, other small objects, or even movement patterns and fingerplays. Pattern making is an important life skill for all children to help them understand and predict occurrences of events and what one needs to do in our daily lives, i.e. at 3 o'clock, we play outside and after we then have a snack. Patterns bring calmness and predictability.

Patterns by EdNinja . Once again EdNinja has created an engaging and excellent app. Patterning is a bit more complicated from step one as the child must look at what is missing from the beginning of the pattern rather then see the pattern and add to the end of it. However, they are given 2 tries to complete, errors after that will show the child what the pattern should look like. Each level becomes increasingly more challenging. The patterns are engaging and colorful and it is fun to watch the airplane catch the completed pattern. This game is challenging and might be difficult for preschoolers but when incorporated with what comes first a good learning opportunity. Overall this is a fun app
