And this is, hands down, my favourite. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE make it universal, or create an iPad version. PLEASE. The concept is fantastic: to those who don't understand Catholic sainthood, it's merely a way to ask those beings who were close to God by their holiness, to intercede for you. One does not pray to a given saint exactly -- but merely invoke his or her name, during prayer. If a saint was connected to a given cause (e.g., Saint Lucy, patroness of the blind, because her eyes were gouged out during her martyrdom), you ask her to intercede for you given her intimate knowledge of the suffering she herself had in life. This app allows you to see the patronage of various saints, to read their bios, and the prayers associated with them; and then, allows you to "light" a virtual candle using your finger to guide a "hand" to the flame. Before doing so, I like to touch on the tolling of the bells audio above, a rather elegant and thoughtful flair. I, too, haven't been able to access the world map to see which other i-Device users have lit candles (for each saint chosen), but I HIGHLY urge devs to bring that back. It's lovely, touching, and uplifting to see the dots around the world, of Catholic Apple fanboys and girls, sharing a prayer all together.

This is a beautiful app but can we please have saint Blaise?! I bought this for his prayer and he isn't even listed :( very sad!!

It's a wonderful app but Saint Monica is not listed. :( I purchased this app hoping she would be. Do you think it's possible to have her soon? Would greatly appreciate it. :)

While the candle option is nice, this is missing several popular saints. St. Rose of Lima and St. Martin de Porres being two that were immediately noticed. While I enjoy the ability to look saints up by patronage, it's sort of useless when there are not enough saints to cover many issues. Come across as a lite version.

When I send a candle it cc back to me and doesn't go to the person. I love this app but add more saints

When I got this app I was happy to get but when I looked up my saint Joan of Arc her feast day was not right. The app had her feast day May 16 when truly its May 30 the day she died. But I do love this though and glad that I got it.

Wish it was updated. use to be able to email candle now it just say it fails. It's one of my favorite apps. I lite saint candles often now I can just go to this app and do it! Hopefully there will be more saints added. It would be nice if all the bios included what they help with.

Don't buy this app

It has GREAT potential. But it doesn't work. I can't believe it's being sold in the App Store. If it worked, I would write a glowing review because it looks beautiful and the few prayers I could access were well written. I'd like my money back.
