Pretty Good app. Very useful.

Great free medical school resource

I just finished my first year of medical school. I found out about this app before the spring semester, when our organ modules were just beginning. I use it to study clinically relevant information for my local exams. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is because it doesn't allow you to focus on specific areas of a topic of study (e.g., GI - pharmacology).

Easy to use app that I found very useful during early preparation for step 1.

Overall a good supplement to FA

Overall, this Q-bank is a good supplement to First Aid review for USMLE. I didn't want to purchase USMLE Rx and needed something in more first order format. It's very simple, easy to use on the go and it has the explanations to the wrong answer choices. It includes First Aid pages associated to the topic for each questions. I also find that there are additional information that I couldn't find anywhere else. One thing I hope to see is to be able to revisit the questions in the past sets in case I needed to look it up.

Very tough questions

I used Pastest while reading my books and the questions were very different from what I was studying. It helped me a lot to learn some "low yield" material that in the end was tested on the real exam. High yield material is not enough to ace the step 1, so I definitely recommend using this app.

Great app for Board Exams prep or for class!

I really enjoyed the fact that I could find a free app that gave me all the same style questions that I see with question banks that I have paid for. I really think they do a good job of representing the depth and breadth of questions seen in Medical school and Board materials.

Solid Step 1 resource

Overall very solid step 1 review source. The app was easy to use, and the filters were perfect for setting up the areas I wanted to study each day. The questions were clear and the difficulty seemed consistent with NBME/uWorld. Likewise, the answer explanations were clear and helpful, with the citations to sections of First Aid being particularly useful. My main complaint is the inability to make question sets in any number besides multiples of 25, it would be nice to be able to adjust this. Additionally, the interface often makes it easy to hit the Report a Problem button on each question instead of advancing to the next question. Overall very happy with this app.

All questions are direct from FirstAid so it helps you learn the important facts. Any questions or challenges are answered quickly and by someone who understands the material.
