I thought this was a great way to get my passport photo done. I had somebody take my picture. It checked off as compliant. I then had it sent to Walgreens....$14.99. Sent my application in and just received everything back today saying the picture was not acceptable. Now I guess I will pay another $14.99 somewhere and have it done elsewhere. Extremely mad. Good thing the app was free!

I was so thrilled to find this app in preparing to renew my daughter’s passport. Being able to take the pic at home using the guidelines in app and see quickly that it meets the requirements for the State Department, then firing it off to the nearest Walgreen’s for printing was a BREEZE!

I had this app for a few years. I knew I had to renew my passport soon but I kept procrastinating. I can finally confirm that this app works!!! I just received an email from the US Dept of State that my application has been “Approved”. The app is super simple to use and they help guide you, but of course it’s not perfect so you still have to use your own judgment in selecting a clear photo with good lighting. I advise you to read the photo tips provided on the app or go to the state’s official site. Your head must be sized between 1”-1.4” in a 2”x2”. Do not use in selfie mode (front facing cam) because images aren’t clear. I suggest using tripod or selfie stick if you are taking it on your own. I used it on my iPhone SE so you can see you don’t need the fanciest phone for it.

REJECTED for photos. ?. Out $60 for Walgreens development and now the process will be significantly delayed. Do not use this app.
Dark , single color clothes

We worked through 12 pictures before we realized that a dark , one color top is best . Once we figured that out , it worked well . We could have just had the photo made at the developer , but it was good to do this at home .

The app worked just thought $15 plus tax was a little on the high side, but it worked and it was ready within the hour.

Not sure the purpose of the app when Walgreens still charges you $14.95 and you are doing the work. Waste of time. Just go to Sam’s and get it done for $4.96
