By using the magnetic compass found in your phone as an electromagnetic field (EMF) detector, Paranormal Recorder is able to turn on an audio recording only when there are abnormal EMF levels.

The recordings created by Paranormal Recorder often contain unexplainable noises and voices. Researchers have given these types of recordings a name, electronic voice phenomenon, or EVP.

Cited by many as a breakthrough in paranormal research, Paranormal Recorder has seen almost 1500 examples of EVP with associated abnormal EMF levels shared with the world.

Creating a paranormal recording is simple.

1. Press the 'Start EVP Detection' button and leave your phone plugged in and near an area of suspected paranormal activity for an hour or two.

2. Press the 'Stop EVP Detection' button and select the 'Analyze' tab. If there was any paranormal activity selected your recording will be listed.

3. Although you left Paranormal Recorder running for hours, there should only be a couple minutes of paranormal activity (if any) detected. Listen through the disruptions, classify them, and share the results to SoundCloud for other paranormal investigators to assist analyzing.

If you are not getting results, try another location and make sure your EMF thresholds are set correctly. The default settings should work best, but some areas may have different background EMF levels and need adjustment.

I would give this app 5 stars for catching EVP’s, This app has caught several class A EVP’s plus many other EVP’s. It needs to be updated so it will work on ios 11. iCloud will not download the app to my iphone now that it is ios 11, I’m afraid I’m going to lose my recordings. Would be nice if there was a way to transfer the recordings to my computer some how. It had an occasional glitch while listening to the recordings on continuous play with the start/stop button. Please update, I really don’t want to lose my really clear class A EVP’s.

Okay that guy who said to get paranormal radar instead is obviously dumb or works for the publisher of that fake app. This app is a great and ultimately functional. The EMF detector produces accurate readings, especially after the new OS update. A great tool for a low budget enthusiast.

I've had no problems as far as recording/setting decibel levels, that works; however, the only "disturbances" I'm getting are from my boyfriend's snoring. Guess I'll have to experiment in some other locations and hope I come up with something more exciting!

Really works very well. Got evps at cemetery from lady ghost that said sad soul and over her voice male that said go home and few moments later a ghost that whistles. Also at the Westin hotel lax evps in guest room # 969 name Robertson and no, hello smile,1987, what motherf@&ker, you kill her. Evps at Inglewood cemetery Ca. A women saying sad soul and right over her voice a male voice said go home. Moments I got someone whistling. Westin Los Cabos Mexico evps in guest room #1711. Kill them and a scream. In the bathtub someone taking a breath.

I only downloaded this because of my own experiences. I turned it on with all the settings set at default. After 10 minutes I checked to see if there was anything, and there was a very loud, raspy sounding breathing. I then decided to leave it on at night while I was away from my house. When I went to check it. A message showed me that it was full, so I clicked the (ok), but that didn't get the message off the screen. It just keeps popping up. I had also noticed there is no way to delete recordings that isn't needed. I want to delete, and reload this program, but I don't know if it will charge more money if I do. Please fix this bug to get a higher rating In the future. Thank you for your time looking after this matter.
