First popularized in the mid-1970s, the paleo diet has been promoted by a huge number of authors and researchers in books and academic journals as a method of healthy eating.

The paleo diet, also popularly referred to as the caveman diet, Stone Age diet and hunter-gatherer diet, is a nutritional plan based on eating wild plants and animals.

Paleolithic nutrition is based on the premise that modern humans are genetically adapted to the diet of their Paleolithic ancestors and that human genetics have scarcely changed since the dawn of agriculture. Therefore, an ideal diet for human health is one that resembles this ancestral diet. Research has shown that modern human populations following paleo like diets are largely free of diseases of affluence, such as diabetes and heart disease.

The "modern" Paleolithic diet consists mainly of healthy proteins, including: fish, grass-fed pasture raised meats, vegetables, fruit, roots, and nuts.

I have enjoyed these recipes, they are pretty simple and don't require a lot of ingredients. The ones I've tried so far are tasty.

I love this app. I cook for a family of 8 and it is so easy to use. The pictures of the dishes are helpful, the ingredient list easy to read and generally laid out well. The few suggestions I have are, like others have said, use groupings for dishes, either by meats or by mealtimes. Also, bullet points or arranging the steps of the dish preparation to one step in a paragraph, rather than have it all pushed together, would be helpful when trying to cook and re-read the instructions. Overall, though, pretty good app.

I'm not actually on the paleo diet, I got this while looking for tasty low-carb foods for my ketogenic diet. A lot of the recipes fit into my keto diet plan, and the ones that didn't were easily fixed. The recipes are all great, I especially liked the Moroccan meatballs (make sure to get lamb from a Halal Islamic market, they have the best lamb always) and the stuffed Zucchini.

No matter which meal you click (diner snack lunch ect) it's the same. The meals aren't that great and it really isn't a huge selection
