I would prefer not to allow full access

TeraSam

You say in the video that full access is required only to allow clicks, which work without full access. But your settings say that you need full access for paste functionality. I just downloaded this keyboard, so I really have no good basis to rate it, but it seems great so far.

An ideal second iOS keyboard

TheKemer

No iOS keyboard deserves five stars, but fortunately it is easy to switch between them if you have only a few installed. I think this one is an ideal companion to the standard iOS keyboard, and I find I use each about 50/50. To squeeze more functionality in, the buttons are a bit smaller, making speed typing a little more awkward. But features like the left and right navigation buttons and quick access to special characters often make this keyboard better for editing. A lot of thought is being put into this keyboard, and it continues to evolve and improve. I give onoy four stars only because there is no five-star keyboard, but I could see this evolving into one.

Improving

Maimed

The app has some wonderful ideas, but the keyboard does not accurately record my finger taps, perhaps because it is too small. The settings button appeared to work poorly. The developer contacted me and indicated I had to keep my finger on the button and slide my figer up. It worked and I can now adjust the settimgs. Kudos to the devlopers. I adjusted my rating to a three. If it improves will continue to raise the rating.

Great start, but needs some improvements

1. Please add the mode with number keys of the same height as the letter keys. Both in portrait and landscape mode; 2. Please add ability to customize user's dictionary (add/remove words for autocorrect). Please consider adding profiles with cloud sync to allow users to keep their custom dictionaries on all devices. 3. Autocorrect suggestions should show the highest probability match in the center, going to the sides with less popular options. Please consider extending the current one word blue visual highlight with more differentiation (a word in the center with 100% blue, the 2 on sides with 80% blue, then 2 further with 60% etc...) to attract user's attention to the most applicable term at first. 4. Please don't put too many words in the autocorrect line (I would say 5 or 7 is ideal), as too many options takes too long to consider, and eventually, it becomes faster to just type the word. It could change though if you would implement my suggestions from item 3. 5. I was using the SwiftKey keyboard as my main field keyboard (iPad in one hand, swipe and type input with the other) for a very long time. I decided to try PadKeys because it promised to combine swipe input and the number keys row on top. Unfortunately, I have to admit that the swipe functionality of PadKeys is unusable. I don't know if that's SwiftKey’s ability to adapt to user's style that makes such a difference, or just an algorithm of recognition, but PadKeys doesn't recognize my swipes in the landscape mode with the keyboard in full mode (the biggest keys available) 50% of the times. SwiftKey picks up about 95% of my swipes. How swiping T-H-A-T can return THEY and not even show THAT as an option to choose? How swiping "WHITE" can return "WHILE" if L is further to the right than "I"? Major letdown making the product unusable for what I have bought it for. 6. Most of the times it gives me an incorrect result, but sometimes the swiping doesn't produce anything even if it was a short 3-4 swipes/letters word, and I'm pretty sure there are lots of options to pick within my swiping area - it seems that word selection mechanism breaks in certain conditions and needs tweaking. 7. Swipes up also are not being recognized on me with a 50/50 rate. Native iOS keyboard swipes of a similar nature (but opposite direction) work for me 9 times out of 10. 8. Please polish the spacing mechanism for swiping. It creates 2 spaces or omits the space completely pretty often. 9. Please add a button on the very right of the autocorrect bar that would undo the autocorrect of the last word to the originally typed (even with typos recognized by auto correct) or change the behavior of the existing undo arrow button to revert the word, not the last action. I.e., if I type "typos", the autocorrect word of choice (in blue) is "type"; if I won't pick anything from the autocorrect line and use a symbol swipe up gesture on zero to type ")", the "typos" will change to "typo" simultaneously with typing ")". If I undo using existing arrow undo button, it removes the ")" symbol while I want to revert back the word that I deemed correct before typing a symbol. 10. Please consider interchanging Option and Delete buttons positions as holding the Option key with the thumb sometimes activates Delete action. 11. Please consider adding cursor position control with spacebar left/right swipe or similar. Cursor keys are great for final adjustments, but swiping is faster on a longer distance. 12. Please consider adding more swipe-up symbols to the letters (with an ability to disable gradually: maximum, only numbers and symbol keys, none). 13. If autocorrect suggests capitalizing the first letter of the word, please add the same word without capitalization as one of the options. Thank you for your product. It has a great potential. Took one star out for short number keys and the second one for unpolished unusable swipe input. Hope it will become my main keyboard after issues stated above will be rectified.

Disappointing! Way too slow.

daddypez

I purchased as soon as I got my iphone and am hugely disappointed. Although the app has the needed number row on top (what is wrong with you apple?) and does swype, the swype is so incredibly slow, unresponsive and generally incorrect that it is actually faster to punch the letters and numbers in than to use the swype "feature". (really!) if you are looking for swype and can forgo the top number row, I would highly recommend swiftkey. If the number row is imperative, you may be stuck with this app, but the swype will be unusable.

Don’t buy it

Teenk

I bought it yesterday, stopped using it a few hours later. It would take months to get used to. Very different. I wish I could have seen it or tried it for a bit before buying it. Also wish I could return it and get my money back.

Super useful and when mic comes in iOS 12...

PadKeys will be my one and only! Plus, super responsive dev even with rude and/or clueless complaints.

Fantastic.

Wow! I love it.

Decent app!

Zadok76

This is a bit early since I just downloaded it today. It’s been nice to have the numbers. I wish autocorrect was a little better right off the bat, but I figure it will get better with time. But the one thing I notice pretty quick is the space bar sits just a little higher than the stock keyboard, so I keep missing it. I know that will work better the more I get used to it, but it conflicts with the stock keyboard when I have to go back and forth... so if it’s possible, I’d suggest making the spacebar response area a little lower. Thx!

Annoying and buggy

This has promise and potential. Too busy small and complicated too work right. Doesn't rotate horizontally right
