Almost perfect

Venkatgnex

Except it lack of airplay and picture in picture, it’s a great app. Wish they support external displays

Good Stuff

I haven’t bought it yet so I can’t give an in depth review. But the free version is already very good. I definitely will consider buying it soon.

Beautiful native video player

Dsxpress

This plays practically any file you can throw at it. The design adheres to iOS guidelines and it looks really nice. The only thing missing from this is PiP playback for supported video files. Adding PiP for MP4 files would make this a 5-star app for sure.

Best player

It's one of the best player for ipad... Even better than most rated ones...

The Best Video Player

This player has all the functionality that I have been looking for. I can play my downloaded videos and easily expand to full screen, adjust volume, fast forward and rewind. Best of all it remembers where I left off when I stop watching.

Still needs true AirPlay, but a superb player!

Outplayer is, without question, a superb video playback solution. Are there things about the interface that I wish could be configured differently? Sure (I’d love to see support for custom thumbnails rather than auto-generated images, for example… and the ability to assign a “folder.jpg” image to a collection rather than seeing even smaller thumbnails of the contents would be quite nice!), but in terms of on-device playback and file management there really isn’t anything to criticize. My ONLY lingering disappointment with Outplayer is that it does not (yet!) support true AirPlay and ChromeCast output. Although “Screen Mirroring” will allow you to send video to an Apple TV, there is an unfortunate drawback, since modern iPhone screens are a 2.16:1 aspect ratio: when video is sent to a 16:9 screen, it will have top and bottom letterboxing, because that output mode does not automatically stretch video to fill the vertical space. Adding true AirPlay support would elevate Outplayer from merely superb, to essentially perfect.
