Love the app does all I need it to. Dev please make a photo album app just like this or add the ability to add photo albums also! Thanks c:

Best video player I’ve used on iOS!

The interface is simple and to the point while still being on par with competitors like VLC and Infuse. Video playback is the selling point of Outplayer, outshining its competitors like VLC and Infuse. It’s able to play back basically any video that I can throw at it without asking to pay for codecs like Infuse will, or temporary video artifacts that VLC can occasionally run into. The video loop feature alone is fantastic, being gapless and not struggling at all like VLC does for me. Truly fantastic, and I already know that when I get the chance, I want to support the developer with the premium upgrade.

Plays video from USB drive!!!

Oh my god I went through about 6 or 7 different video apps until I found one with this BASIC functionality, and it works perfectly here. I paid for the pro version immediately after finding this out. I don’t even need the pro features, I just wanted to support the Developer. Thank you!

Great video player

my only suggestion to the developer is to show a little unlock more features button on the little in video settings area, where speed controls and file loop is. I was really looking for speed controls and they weren't there, I almost gave up on your app having that without looking the settings for the app level. I looked there and was glad you had the feature. Good implementation, saved me from making my own.

Exactly what I wanted.

I was looking for a way to play videos on my iPhone and iPad the same way I do on my PC with MPV and THIS IS IT. I can send files into Outplayer and organize them using the Files app or use the local web server if I want, fully styled subtitles and different video containers and codecs are supported with hardware acceleration, even with ordered chapters, it’s FAST, and it doesn’t crash on me like VLC has been doing lately. I’m so happy this exists and that I managed to find it from a self promo on reddit. This is the video player I was looking for. THANK YOU.

external subtitles support?

Hi, I have video file (.mkv) and subtitle (.ass) on SMB, but can't find the external ass file while playing video, the subtitle options look like only include the embedded subtitles in mkv. The files in SMB folder are video "abc S01E01.mkv" and subtitle "abc S01E01.language.ass". Thank you for bring mpv to iOS!

Super Impressive

I rarely write reviews, but had to for this. I wanted a video player that would play my x265 HDR 4K video files. VLC could play the video smoothly, but didn’t show HDR. PlayerXTreme showed HDR, but the video had dropped frames/was laggy. It also had ads that had no way to close without force closing the app. Infuse wouldn’t let me play 4K without subscription. Then, I discovered Outplayer. A nimble app that easily and quickly played my videos with no stuttering, with full 4K, had no stuttering, and it was completely free. Unbelievable. This is one of the best apps I’ve discovered and I’m so thankful to the developers for making it. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for the absolute best video player app on iOS/iPadOS.

Almost perfect

My favorite media player on iOS so far. Much better than VLC. Hope to see this app get continued support. Edit: Still my favorite media player. Bummed out that I can’t get .srt files to work. This is a huge limitation. 4/5
