Great tool

Justinhawks

This is a great tool to connect to your DB from your iPad. Works great and allows you to see constraints and explore tables with a GUI. Allows you to build and run queries nicely. Is it a true high performance replacement for a PC client? No, but what iPad business app truly is. Worth the cost.

Only for beginers

POSITIVE: Connects DB Browse tables Builds basic queries Executes custom queries DML NEGATIVE: Analizes table but this feature is slow, taking around 30 to 300 segs depending on the table, is not possible to disable this feature. Is not possible to execute others than DML, e.g. not possible execute stored procedures (DDL, DCL,TCL). Their browser cannot update records unless a primary is set. Is not possible to disable browser and just provide and custom query interface.

Works great for reports

Galdebot

Works great for reports easy to connect and start making select statements.

compatibility required

Why it's not supporting iOS6? Why gave error sun/Unsafe.putChar(Ljava/lang/Object;JC)V when try to connect to DB? Due to language set ?

Doesn't support even recent older versions of iOS

Phoenix2000

So can't even install it. No reason that this should require the latest version of iOS.

can be slow for power users

Update: this connects to my 11g instances, but not my 12c instances. I bought this to use with our Banner (higher ed ERP) system. It has a good interface and allows novices to construct queries easily. But for a power user, it has proven to be sluggish. One query that runs in about a second in sqlplus or PL/SQL Developer (a windows tool) takes over a minute in this app select spriden_last_name from spriden where spriden_change_ind is null and spriden_first_name = 'Douglas' (Spriden is a public synonym for saturn.spriden) The first run of this query took over 40 seconds to return. while this app is analyzing the schema for indexes, etc rather than just letting Oracle optimize the query. When I changed the query to and spriden_first_name = 'Daniel' and reran it, it ran quickly, as if it had already done a lot of the work on the iPad end. I would also like for it to be able to prompt me for a password at initial connect time, rather than to have it stored on the iPad.
