var shouldAutoSave:Bool = true; var autoSaveAmount:Float = Digit.calculateAutoSavings(); if (user.bankBalance <= 0) { shouldAutoSave = false; } else if (user.bankBalance - autoSaveAmount <= 0){ shouldAutoSave = false; } if(shouldAutoSave){ Digit.requestAutoSavingsFunds(); } else { Digit.dontOverdraftUsersAccount(); } In all seriousness, I appreciate the ability to set a minimum balance threshold for auto savings, but I should NOT have to tell an "intelligent" program to not request funds if the service can send a text that an account is negative on the same day! Judging by other reviews, it sounds like your safeguard isn't working for everyone. Although instantly getting the overdraft returned is nice, setting a limit of (2) reimbursements is ridiculous if this is a reoccurring issue because of developer bugs. Fix that. You don't know how many people's accounts you could be jeopardizing with a snowball effect. Other than that, great app, I love not thinking about how much to save.

Saving made easy!

Love this app! Saves for me without missing the money. In one year app has helped me take two fantastic vacations. Do yourself a favor and DO IT!

Flawed app - made me overdraft twice!

Rebekah Powell

I am so angry and disappointed with this product. I liked it for awhile and even recommended it to friends, but many times now it has texted me the wrong account balance, most egregiously yesterday when it told me I had $190 in my checking and I was close to $0. More upsetting, twice now it has withdrawn money into "savings" when I didn't have enough money in my checking account, once CAUSING me to overdraft and the next time (yesterday) when (because I thought I had more money from checking my balance with digit) was already in overdraft, both times charging me a $34 fee. So I've directly paid $68 for use of a terrible product, plus the overdraft fees from purchases I made based on faulty reporting of my account balance. I feel that whatever technology or algorithm digit uses to estimate how much money to take out is flawed since this has happened twice, and I now certainly distrust the reporting of my checking balance. I forgave it the first time, but now I'm angry. This app that was supposed to make it easy "without draining the bank," as a featured review on their site says, did the opposite. I am closing my account and will not be shy about sharing my negative experience with digit.

Updates not making it better

I loved digit, but recently it’s become clunky to use. I miss the message function and the ability to set savings deadlines in the app instead of having to log in online to do it. The essential simplicity is gone. Since it’s now a subscription app, it should be getting better!

Loved it, then hated it

I loved this app when I first got it but now it’s just frustrating. When it was free there were not many problems. I decided to keep it when they started charging $3 a month for it. Now I’m considering deleting it. Almost daily I get a message that I need to re-link with my bank and after I answer ALL the security questions it effing times out or tells me I made a mistake. I’m just about over it. Come on Digit. Get your poop in a group!!!

Sad to lose it

Incredible app. Helped me really save for the first time in my life. Every since my bank changed to 3 security questions though, it can not connect. Support has been nothing but kind and apologetic, but I don't understand why the answers to 3 security questions can't be saved so that the app call continue to work. It's been over a month since it has been able to save and I am about to delete and look for other options. Looks like many people have been having connection issues for the past few months, and I live with a developer, so the fact that it's taking so long to fix doesn't make me optimistic. If you can't connect, you simply have no product. I'm really sorry guys. Hope you turn it around soon. If you do, let me know and I'll happily come back and change this to 5 stars. Best of luck.

This is the easiest way to save money quickly

I have found a tremendous amount of value out of Digit. I've never been able to save this much money before. Great for people who are trying to change their spending habits.

Digit is great

Awesome game w/ turtle

I’ve used digit for around two years now and it has saved me so much money. After a while I forget digit takes a bit out of my account every so often and then one day I check it, and there is way more money than I’d expect and it feels like free money to me. When digit implemented a $3 fee that was okay because any people who had used digit previously did not have to pay that fee for a little while, $3 is nothing compared to how much money I save and the savings bonus are even better sometimes giving back the $3 that you spent. If your account is consistently under $100 and gets over charged, you should either not use digit or ask digit to save less (which is an option). I don’t ever review apps and have only done so once or twice, but I really love digit and it always puts a smile on my face.

Cool idea but not executed well

App does not allow you to cancel transfers and takes way to long to process them (deposits and withdraws). I transferred too much money accidentally and it still went through causing me to overdraft. It has been over 3 days and I am still waiting for the money to appear in digit so I can send it back to my account. Hopefully they reimburse my overdraft fees. I do plan on closing my account because this is more hassle than it’s worth.
