Its a trippy version of the apple calc kinda odd to use

Cool concept

OmniusPi

This is a good idea but it's hard to actually use. - no zoom - no scrollbars helping with canvas navigation - black is a poor choice of background color - no labels for boxes - no separation in a box between references from other boxes and numbers entered directly. - can't move a box once it's down. - no visual sign of connections like lines. - needs more functions In short, it's hard enough to use and once it is set up you get lost quickly. No go for now but I gave it an extra star for potential!

Oovium

its prbbly a great app but the "help" icon does not really Help! no explanation or details as to how to work this app. App/developer site has vague explanation of this app. & yes i prbbly should not have dowloaded it! I wish i could take my .99 to purchase a much more reasonable & helpful app.

Love it! :)

This app is great. I like to use it as a math notepad. You can do your work and then go back and view, compare and edit all your previous data. My current favorite feature is the text labels. Thank you Joe and Aepryus :) I look forward to future development and wish you all success with your endeavors.

Good idea but not ready for prime-time

No statistical functions, too difficult to move and link bubbles, help documentation is basically nonexistent, and no ability to use an array of numbers from a spreadsheet or data table. This is a great idea for an app, but I believe I have just wasted my money. This isn't ready for purchase just yet.

Great update!

Thank you for the update! This app just keeps getting better. As a long time user of oovium, I have one humble request, and one silly request. Humble request: Can you make (or allow the user to) fade the background faster? It's a tad distracting to see the 3D grid and title upon launch. Silly request: Let's face it- calculators are mostly boring. How about an option to turn on audio feedback? Maybe some classic 80 vintage computer "beep-boop" key press sounds? Perhaps a sound when we make a new bubble? (popping sound?) Maybe also a sound when we ask for the computation? Keep up the great dev!!

Oovium vs Microsoft Excel

Bigstub

Oovium has great potential. I really like it that Oovium uses less mental processing to navigate a series of linked calculations than does Microsoft Excel. I was so impressed that I've transferred my monthly budget from Excel to Oovium. In my job I needed to check a colleague's Excel calculations for a subtle error that generated incorrect values. In Excel, searching for a formula error in a complex spreadsheet involves a lot of mental & 'notepad' processing. Most of the difficulty in Excel is found in visually keeping track of the location of cells that can't move, and tracking the connected formulae and their precedents and dependents. In contrast, Oovium, made it easier to label and visually trace precedents, dependents. Upon the touch of a finger, I could review and modify the formulae that comprise the 'bubbles'. I am looking forward enthusiastically to future improvements and suggest features such as Undo / Redo, centering, cut/paste formula, colors, search and save.

Even better

Toddddd

I was using the prior version of oovium for my college chemistry class. I can say it made things so much better, but that's an under statement. Since the update it is now the go-to calculator for my chem calculations. I simply don't understand any negative ratings for this app.

Neat but not ready

Seadigs

Interesting concept but limited capability, stability and documentation at this point. I very quickly got it to crash, and now attempts to remove the offending bubble also cause a crash. In -app help is very sketchy, but there is a link to a helpful forum. Price seems high for what seems more like an alpha version than a stable release.
