Oniverse on line

I love this game, but would love to see more of the Oniverse games be made into apps. They are all a lot of fun and I think some of them would work better as apps.

Old eyes

Grumps1969

I like the game, but can’t always play on iPad. Any way to zoom in so old eyes can see it on an iphone? I have the 11 Pro Max, but the game is small and centered on the screen with ~1/2in black borders on each side.

Fantastic

I can’t recommend getting the free first expansion enough. I mean it’s free, but it also adds a lot to the game and makes me like it a lot more. The only real negative thing I can say about this game is that it doesn’t have the option to buy all the cool expansions that are available in real life. So really I’d recommend buying the game in real life and it’s promo expansions. Another negative for this game is I think the audio could be better but I also get that it’s an app and they probably didn’t want to put a ton of budget into it. This is not just an issue with this game but a lot of board game apps. Oh well. Despite both of these complaints and owning the physical game in real life, I still play this a ton.

Great Game, but the other expansions are desperately needed

Update 6: February 2020 Onirim is still a good 5-minute fix game app, but the lack of the additional expansions means I’m now much more likely to pass on Onirim. Some of the things Asmodee announced in 2017/2018 (Five Tribes, a significant overhaul to the Pandemic App - more maps perhaps? - and more) never came to fruition. And it isn’t just Asmodee, the iOS blog on board game geek had far fewer posts over the past 1.5 years compared to 3-5 years ago. The tabletop app market seems to be suffering, which is sad, as my family would test potential new game purchases through apps. So when it comes to onirim, it’s a good app. But there are SIX expansions not coded into the app, and you should enter into it with no expectations to see any of them in the future. Update 5: October 4, 2018. It’s been nearly 8 months since my last update, and Asmodee hasn’t had any announcements about the additional expansions being made available. Having played them in the physical edition, I can honestly say the app is lacking due to not having more of the expansions available. It’s still a great purchase if you’re brand new to Onirim. But I greatly prefer Onirim with the expansions that are available in physical form Update 4: February 14, 2018 - Sadly, Onirim hasn’t received any of the other expansions that are part of the physical game (the card version has 7, as well as 2 promo expansions). I concede that of the 7 expansions, the 3 available within the app are some of the better ones, but it would be great to see the others programmed in as well. Nevertheless, if you’re new to Onirim and/or enjoy quick solo/solitaire games at all, this is a required addition for your iOS device. Update 3: July 28, 2017 - Asmodee quickly released an update, so the app is back to 60fps. Back to 4 stars. Update 2: Late July 2017 - Asmodee released another expansion (yay!) but now the app is L-A-G-G-Y. R-E-A-L-L-Y laggy. And that's on an iPad Air 2. In it's current form, I wouldn't recommend the app at all. How this made it past any kind of quality control / beta test is beyond me. Hopefully an update is forthcoming...and S-O-O-N. Update: July 2017 - The most recent update includes the occasional pop-up ad (between games) for other Asmodee Digital apps. As one who paid for the app, it's sad to see this happening. I've removed a star for the unnecessary advertisements. Original Review: Asmodee Digital has been delivering some high quality modern tabletop game apps as of late, and Onirim is another solid release. The overall UI is easy to navigate, and those unfamiliar with the game can quickly understand the various nuances that make Onirim such an attractive game. For the $0.99 launch price, it's an easy decision to add this to your iOS device. With expansions adding even more variety and variability, this is quickly becoming one of the most played games on my iPad.

Version change

Diarmidqq

Now I only have 2 cards of each color to acquire which ruins the game. What happened to the older version?

Fun and different

Not a couch potato

I will make this one of my base games

Fun

Just bought the physical game, but it was fun to learn on this version. The free upgrade if one of the expansions was a nice nod, as well.

Good time killer

Dtro6

It's well designed, and a good way to occupy your time when you have a few minutes to kill. Since I paid for the game, I'd love to not see ads everytime I start it. Also, the animations are unnecessary. I don't need to watch all the cards move into the discard and door cards come into my hand and then move to the side, and then another and another before finally having to watch the cards shuffled again. Tapping the screen speeds it up, but how about giving the option to remove it completely?

Fun, with a fantastic atmosphere.

I started with Onirim through its tabletop variant. This app was a must-buy when it hit the store. It's entirely faithful to the tabletop version, has a lovely little soundtrack, and has been perfectly stable throughout its life. It's better on a larger screen to better appreciate the fabulous artwork on the cards, but is very enjoyable on the iPhone as well. Please support this great company.

Needs an Update

DeveloperZach

I love this game but it recently stopped saving where I left off in a game. If I minimize the app and come back I have to start my game all over again. It also only supports the horizontal orientation on my iPhone 11 Pro. I would rate it a four or five if they would give it an update to optimize it.
