I've purchased most of the Dr Seuss apps from Oceanhouse and have been very pleased. I have a 2 year old boy and was about to buy him the Once Upon A Potty book and saw this app today. It's great for $3. The "potty song" leaves something to be desired, but the job they did on the book itself is very good.
I sooo loved watching this!!! My son Really enjoyed the interaction! There's a lot of pages too, very nice. Definitely worth the money! Now I gotta go tell a few iPad friends with lil ones!
First of all I don't choose to potty train on plastic portable potty so this totally goes against my training practices. My 2 year old was not that interested either and the song was bad! Sorry, just not for me.
The potty song is so ridiculously long and complex - and the story isnt clever or interesting at all.
We have the real book too and my som was very excited to see his fav book on the iphone! Loved the new addition of washing hands!
The book only mentions a mother and grandmother involved in potty training. The book may help teach how to use a potty. It also implicitly teaches that raising children is women's work. Not a good trade off.
My mom told me she used to read this book to me as a kid. It's nice to see it updated for the iPad and iPhone. A couple if interesting features have been added to go along with the original story.
My son loves this book, we borrowed it from the library a few weeks ago and I was so happy to find it for the iPad! He sits on his potty (28 months old) and I read it to him, he loves to answer the questions they ask about the present. After we started reading this he had to go get everyone to show them that he went in the potty!
